🚨⚠️ Please be aware that from Friday 28th February to Friday 6th March, the City of Liverpool is welcoming the Royal Navy’s new aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales to the Liverpool Cruise Liner Terminal.
The Ship is expected to attract large numbers of visitors to visit and view her. As a consequence of this and in the interests of public safety and security, Liverpool City Council have arranged a significant number of road closures in the area for the duration that the Ship... in is port.
We have been informed that all closures will be signed and staffed. A short diversion will be in place, however traffic that needs to will be able to access the Crowne Plaza.
🚘🚦 If travelling by car, please see the directions below that we have put together to try and help:
If travelling to the hotel from a direction North of Liverpool, you will need to access the car park from The Strand/New Quay/George’s Dock Gates via the red route highlighted in the image. You will need to pass the hotel and follow the diversion to the next available right-hand turn (300 metres). Here you will be able to U-turn back towards the hotel.
If travelling up from South of Liverpool, you will need to access the car park following the purple route from The Strand.

A privilege to welcome one of the country’s true greats to the hotel yesterday. Sir Ranulph Fiennes guest speaker at last nights dinner.

Today we had our 1st green team meeting of 2020. We are focusing on the the last few areas of the hotel that we need to change over to new low energy lamps. We have set the pool temperature at the optimum level for comfort and energy usage as advised by pool operators. This will save energy and reduce the volume of chemicals needed to keep the water clean. We have installed a chemical thermal blanket for the pool to save heat in down times and over night. The whole team are very pleased to be working on more activities to reduce our carbon footprint.
