About Croydon Supplementary Education Project

Croydon Supplementary Education Project (CSEP)CSEP provides supplementary education to young black minority ethnic (BME) people aged 5-18 with emphasis on the core subjects of Math, English and Science with basic skills (literacy, numeracy and IT). Our core service is the provision of education on Saturdays, with an integrated a mentoring programme and community involvement projects to help disaffected young people and to help reduce gang crime activity. CSEP has recently also pioneered several inter-generational family learning and diversionary activities aimed at engaging the wider community, particularly targeting the "hard to reach hardly reached", while offering pathways into learning and improving the levels of confidence and self esteem for all members of the community.
