Liverpool is rich in maritime heritage and was the birthplace of the first passenger cruise line. Since the opening of the cruise terminal in 2007, the port has renewed its links with the great ocean liners of the world, including Queen Mary 2, the largest ocean liner ever to grace the river Mersey.
Liverpool Cruise Terminal has quickly earned a reputation as one of the most desirable cruise destinations in Europe. Ideally placed in the Irish Sea to be included in Round Britain & Ireland itineraries for transit calls, it is also an ideal starting point for North European and Norwegian Fjord cruises.
In 2013, over 44, 000 cruise passengers will enjoy visiting Liverpool by cruise ship, rising to almost 70, 000 in 2014 with calls from QM2, Queen Elizabeth, Caribbean Princess and Celebrity Infinity & Hapag Lloyd.
Cruise Passengers now have the opportunity to embark through our new cruise facility, offering an efficient, friendly and convenient UK departure point as well as being within an hour’s drive of two international airports, a 2 hour train ride from London.
