Whether you are into escape rooms or this is your first time, this is a great place to visit. Friendly and warm reception, challenging but interesting and different puzzles. A thoroughly good afternoon out escaping a detention!!

What amazing fun, my wife and I tried to attempt the jewellery heist, No it's not easy, YES it's great fun and a great way to spend time. Both of us could quite happily become addicted. The guys that run it are really friendly and didn't even roll around the floor laughing at our appalling attempt lol. Thanks will be back.üòâ

Went on a family trip to do the jewellery heist escape room. Was excellent fun and so many different elements to the game. Would very much recommend to everyone! Great fun for all!

We went for a colleagues leaving do and had the best time! Well organised and such a lovely helpful team there who were flexible at every point. So much fun and definitely going back again! None of us had any idea what expect and it far exceeded any expectations I had. Thanks James and the team!

We had a go at The Jewellery Heist room yesterday, it’s a great room that really makes you use your brain and think outside the box, we loved it and one brilliant thing about this particular room is that there are two parts to it, we did the jewellery part and hope to go back in the future to have a go at the other part, we will definitely go back to have a go at the gaol. We had a great experience, we felt comfortable, welcome and at ease. We highly recommend this game, thank you so much

We enjoyed our escape from The Gaol so much! It was great to work as a team (2 fortysomethings, 1 thirtysomething & 2 teens) - and try to beat the best recent time, which we did... hoorah! James outlined our task clearly and enthusiastically and gave us hints if needed as we went along. It was an exciting and intriguing experience with plenty of imaginative challenges to get our brains working. Super fun searching for clues and figuring out padlock codes! Would recommend it! Thank you for a brilliant creation James.

Took our service user here tonight, rang James beforehand to see if room could be adapted for special needs and he was more than happy to accommodate us.

This was our very first visit to this type of event. We went as a family (two boys, 8 and 10 years old). It was recommended by our friend who did the Jewellery Heist and they really enjoyed it. We did the Gaol and it was very good fun. What we really liked about it was how we engaged as a family, having to work together and listening to each other which could be very funny at times. We look forward to the new rooms being set up and will definitely be back to test them out! Also, plenty of parking is available right outside the building which is an added bonus!

This was my second visit in the last 3 months and I have now done both rooms. Loved both! I took a different set of people each time and I do have to say that the gaol was my favourite! I found the jewellery heist quite difficult with just 2 of us. These rooms are fabulous for making you think and pushing you out of your comfort zone! The staff are fantastic and all seem to absolutely love what they are doing. Couldn’t recommend enough! I’ll be back for all future rooms!

Really well planned rooms, it was unlike anywhere else I’ve been. The host (didn’t catch his name) was great, and it was an all-round brilliant experience. Will definitely go back to do other rooms.

Really impressive! We've just been with my uncle who has learning difficulties, and had a wonderful time. Everything was well adapted, interesting, and great fun. Will definitely go again, and would thoroughly recommend for people with special needs.

Our first time at an escape room and we absolutely loved it! We did the School of Hard Locks and all our party, from age 9 to 50+, found different ways to contribute to the joint puzzle-solving. We were so impressed with the creativity, imagination and care that had gone into setting it all up. We definitely want to come back to try the other room now.

Just completed Gaol and it was amazing - the room was so thought provoking and the staff there (James) was really helpful. With a mixed age and ability group the room was perfect for us and were already planning our next trip to find the jewellery heist!



Compared with other escape rooms I loved the fact that this wasn’t logical and in order, it meant that everyone in the group could be doing something useful at the same time and worked perfectly with our group of 7! Even something as small as working out how to tell the time took a couple of our group long enough!



Genuinely can’t wait to attempt the next room!!!

Have wanted to do an escape room for awhile but was always put off by the price for a family of 5, so jumped at the chance when I saw CryptX’s family offer for weekday bookings. We did the Jewelery Heist with three children ages 9, 11 and 13 and absolute loved it! James designs the rooms himself (rather than buying them in) and was a great host, very friendly and helpful without being too quick to offer hints. Cannot recommend highly enough, there was lots for everyone to do and we all had a blast. Will definitely be back!

Have only done a few escape rooms. This one was so fun, it took us a while to get into it and as James said it was a total car crashÔøΩ. Would love to come back again and see if we can do better. Would suggest it to anybody who's never done one before. Definitely recommend!

It was a great experience from start to finish. James absolutely made it - chilled and friendly and very funny!

We certainly didn’t get the best jewellery haul on the rankings board but we had great fun and the room was very cleverly done. We would love to come back some time to try that room again and more. I’ve also a long list of people I will encourage to visit and try the rooms out for themselves.

Fantastic way to get people talking and working together without modern day technology in the way. Hosts are amazing and ensure everyone enjoys the experience.

Fantastic afternoon. We were a large group of 8 adults, ranging in age from late teens to early 50s. We were greeted by James who is very personable and funny. He put us at ease straight away. He asked about previous experience - some had participated at other escape rooms, whilst 4 had no experience whatsoever. He led us through our particular room, giving background (and with hindsight) the odd clue. We were given a walkie-talkie, should we need assistance and then taken into the gaol room. The actual game was very well put together and very detailed. Having a large group with varying skills meant that some tasks were completed very quickly whilst in the second room a co-ordinator was needed. We took just under an hour to complete. It was a really fun afternoon. We enjoyed a further chat with James afterwards; very informative. Would thoroughly recommend
