Ctb Sweeping Description
CTB Sweeping is a fully insurance assured chimney and flue sweeping company. CTB Sweeping also offer roof, gutter, fascia and solar panel cleaning services.

When the nights start getting longer, the days shorter and the air temperature cooler, we at CTB Sweeping focus on chimney and flue sweeping services. The main season is September through to March. However, we sweep chimneys all year and offer discounted rates in the summer months.

CTB Sweeping not only sweep chimneys and flues but we also offer roof, gutter, fascia and solar panel cleaning services during the summer months to keep us busy when there is less demand for a chimney sweep. Please get in touch for more details.
CTB Sweeping was established in 2016 by Craig Brown and has already built a large customer base due to the company’s high standards and work ethic. The business has developed through organic growth and therefore, Craig would like to thank all customers for their support and recommendations.
CTB Sweeping’s approach to work is paramount to maintaining our high customer satisfaction. We strive to ensure that all forms of communication from our customers are actioned within a maximum of 24 hours, usually 1-2 hours. If you book us for work, we will call to confirm your appointment the day before and then again one hour prior to arrival at your home. This ensures that you are free to continue with your day and are not waiting in for a tradesman unnecessarily.
When we arrive at your home, we take our time to prepare the work area and work in a clean, efficient and methodical manner to ensure a thorough job is completed. Upon completion of works, we take pride to clean up after ourselves. We want you to use us again and join the rest of our happy customers, therefore, if you are not completely satisfied, you do not have to pay us. That’s how confident we are that you will be satisfied.
All chimney sweeps at CTB Sweeping have completed all relevant training with the CSA (Chimney Sweep Academy) and follow their code of conduct. We also have £5m Public Liability Insurance.
*COVERAGE*
We are based in Kenninghall, South Norfolk, and generally service a 30 mile radius, but can travel further afield from time to time. If in doubt, please contact us to enquire whether we cover your area.

It's Tuesday.......time to test your carbon monoxide & smoke alarms!
These photos were taken by James Garbutt @ Norfolk Town & Country Stoves. Apparently this liner was only six years old but had never been swept. It is good practice to sweep liners at the end of the burning season. Soot is acidic and can greatly reduce the life span of a liner if left over the summer months. All open fires, wood burning stoves, Rayburn & Aga stove flues should be swept at least once per year to avoid heavy build ups, blockages, chimney fires and carbon monoxide poisoning. This liner was so bad that it has had to be replaced. If a liner is regularly swept you should expect it to last approx 20 years.
This is a before and after of a sweep I did recently.
In the before, the bird's nest is completely blocking the flue.
After a successful sweep, the flue is now totally clear.
It's times like these I'm so very glad I have an open fire!

Please don't send me up the chimney again- if you call my daddy, he'll be able to sweep your chimney for you instead! He can sweep open fires, wood burners and Agas.

We had our chimney swept by Craig in preparation for the winter months. He was really friendly, tidy & informative about the process, which was actually pretty interesting! He also let me make a wish when the brush popped out the top! Would recommend.
