Work is very much underway at the Firs, where the Pre School, ‘The Saplings’ is continuing to be built. Recently, Sam went down to the Firs to present to parents on the current progress which has been made.
Here is a time-lapse of the early stages of construction, progress is coming along nicely and hopefully the project will be finished fairly soon. Be sure to keep an eye out for more updates from the Firs and also other projects we are currently working on!

We hope you are all well and enjoying the sun this week! ☀️
This week started with a bit of a shock, with us sadly being broken into early Monday morning along with some other shops in the area, unfortunately, we had some items stolen and the door completely smashed down! Since then, the police have been in to collect evidence, so hopefully, it will all be sorted soon.
However, all is returning back to normal at the office, with all of the team coming together and moving forward!

Surprisingly just 2️⃣0️⃣% of people commission a survey of their intended house purchase. 😲 And furthermore, a lot of home buyers are not actually able to understand a full building survey fully as they don't seek any clarification, meaning they don't get the most of out their survey. 👎
To try and overcome this, the following are some of the items you may find within your survey and the questions you could ask of the surveyor once you have the report. ✉️🔏
Let us know if you have any questions on this topic or others, as we would love to help if possible😊

Here's some of the first pictures, looking at the redesigned Eiffel Tower Park in Paris! 🏙️🇫🇷
The City of Paris just announced the winner of its ambitious Site Tour Eiffel Competition: the team will be tasked to improve and reimagine the grounds around the city's most iconic landmark, just in time for the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics and Paralympics.
The City of Paris shortlisted Gustafson Porter + Bowman – alongside three other teams – to reimagine the landscape of the Eiffe...l Tower. The competition sought designs that would respond to the brief - discover, approach, visit – and deliver a landscape that aligns with the City’s vision for a resilient, inclusive and environmentally-oriented future. The winning proposal, Gustafson Porter + Bowman’s OnE scheme, envisions one readable landscape that reveals unity, continuity and diversity.
What are your thoughts on these plans, will Paris be on your list of holiday destinations when the work has been complete? 🌎🙌

Turning industrial sites into public parks?! 😵🎢 It sounds crazy but it may be a solid solution.
What should we do with industrial sites after they have fulfilled their original purpose? In Germany, the answer has frequently been to artfully transform these sites into places of public use. 🌲🌞 Take Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord, a former coal and steel production plant which ceased operations in 1985, in 2002 it was reopened in as a public park. This innovative idea is making... recycling more sustainable and it would be very interesting to see if this trend was to carry on into other countries ♻️
What are your thoughts on this, is it a good idea?

A floating island with up to 10,000 homes and shops is part of a plan to revive a tidal lagoon project in Swansea Bay! 😵🌎
The new scheme - Dragon Energy Island - is seen as a replacement for the failed Swansea Bay Tidal Lagoon. It is also said to be 30% cheaper than the £1.3bn cost of the previous plan. Underwater turbines would generate electricity for thousands of homes over a period of 120 years.
What would your thoughts on this be and could you ever imagine living on a fl...oating city?

London's first riverfront linear park is in the process of being built at Greenwich Peninsula. “The Tide”, which is a 5-kilometre park, will have the first phase opened to the public on July 5.
The first phase of The Tide will be 1 kilometre long, with a public walkway featuring installations by renowned artists, elevated gardens, pocket cafes, and a promontory overlooking the Thames. Each of the five “islands” in the park will be defined by unique landscaping of trees and plants.
Will this park be something your visiting if in the area?

A handwritten package arrived today in the office. Thought it was something from my dad until I opened it to find this. It's great as a sponsor to be treated as someone integral to the team they sponsor. This may be a small sponsorship but the sentiment runs for all sponsor situations. Thanks to all at R&DFC and #teamfury for this kind gesture and hope to get to your presentation day in June. Go #teamfury, onward and upward.

One in five homebuyers rely solely on a mortgage valuation report, so it’s no surprise that many are hit with repair bills once they move in. Money spent on a decent survey can save you a fortune in the future.
It's important to choose a survey based on the condition of the property itself, not the cost of the survey, here we give you a few tips so you know a bit more about the options you have when looking to get a survey on your potential new home...
