About Curious Creatures

Providing exciting, imaginative, outdoor learning experiences for extremely curious children in natural places.

Curious Creatures Description

What’s it all about?
My name is Clare Holland and I qualified as a primary school teacher in 2002. Outdoor learning has always been a passion of mine and I have continuously been seeking new ways to utilise the wonders of the outdoor learning environment to motivate pupils and enhance learning opportunities. Having my own two boys the outdoors has become even more exciting, particularly since observing how it can be so easily transformed by the power of the imagination in the head of a 3 year old!
Sadly, all too frequently, our children are unable to enjoy the same freedom to roam in the outdoors that we and our parents may have done. However, there is a strong link between time spent outdoors and children’s happiness and exploring the outdoors also brings huge physical, cognitive and social benefits.
Curious Creatures brings stories and rhymes to the outdoors, providing fun, stimulating activities which promote curiosity, imagination and interaction whatever the weather!
