Curling Contractors

A few images of some really well built gates supplied to us by RGH Supplies Ltd. Fully meshed, properly solid and installed by us for a clients foaling paddocks.

We have been flat out this summer including more of this pale fencing and gates. 1500 metres completed so far. Great work guys.

Another estate railing job at Richmond Park. Included is a self closing pedestrian gate. Spray painted Royal Parks Green.

Arena resurfacing carried out locally this week. Old surface stripped off and stockpiled. Levels and geotextile checked over and new surface laid levelled and compacted. Our little machine control lazer levelling dozer really comes into its own on these jobs and the power harrow evens out any wrinkles, gives a consistent going and leaves a superb finish. It never goes through a gate behind the tractor though, so it’s a lifting job to get it out!

Two thousand metres of scrub to clear, fences to remove and replace with new 6’ pale and several km of ditch cleaning and ride widening to carry out. We have a very busy couple of months coming up.....

The latest attachment to add to the list. Supplied by Riko UK and fitted by the excellent Richard Court Forest Engineering this timber grab fitted to our little TB 228 will prove invaluable for us in all sorts of ways. A real time and effort saver.

A bit of forest ride restoration work for the Crown Estate at Oxshott and Windsor. Tree shear work and V ditcher on our 7 and 14 tonne machines. Smart work from Pete.

Avoiding a bit of double handling. 108 posts slung on in a oner and we are away... only another 3800 posts to go...

Just finished 700m of post and rail fencing for a polo client. Really pleased with result and the boys worked incredibly hard to get this all fenced in 4.5 days. Top work again guys and a great result....

More forest entrance culvert work.

Forest entrance improvement works under traffic management on a busy road near Ascot. New gates, fencing, culvert and ditching to stop illegal parking.

Two pairs of oak gates supplied and hung in Richmond Park. We recycled the old gate fittings including a very intricate drop bolt arrangement on one set. We had to battle with all the brick piers being out of vertical in two planes, the hinge hooks being at different heights to their opposite number and no adjustment on the bands. Took a bit of doing and a few furrowed brows at times, but they are up and I think they look pretty smart. Thanks to Suffolk Timber for the gates.

As part of the stock fencing job we are doing in Hillingdon we have to supply 600m of water pipe and a cattle trough to the grazing area. All mole ploughed in and trough set up in around 3 hours. Good work again lads...

First time out with the old Kinghitter in ages. Still a great tool and was our frontline post driver for years and years. Got around 100 posts driven in less than an hour between it and the Evo. About the same time it took for the snow to completely disappear and the sun to come out! Doing a kilometre of stock net and two barb near Heathrow airport!!!

I’ve got to take my hat off to the guys today. It was bitter out there, but they kept going, cheerfully and without complaint. Well done lads. Proper grit and resilience. It would have been so easy to have called it a day......

After a bit of a pause waiting for materials, the dipping platform is now finished and that along with the tables and fencing completes this part of the outdoor education centre in Windsor. I think it’s going to get put to some really good use...
