An absolute shambles of a store. Was sold a dodgy TV half wrapped in bubble wrapped that started falling apart while transporting it to the car. Was reassured that the screws that mount the frame to the panel were included, only to discover that they were not. Went back to the store and explained that they weren't. The salesman, Jamie, then spent half an hour trying to find the right screws for it from a big tub. Except the ones that he picked didn't fit either. Don't think anyone in the store knows anything about technology, just how to con you.

Remodled Curry's store and now incorporates both PCWorld and Carphone Warehouse with two floors. Generally good prices though they now try to sell you all their services and so it feels a little pushy.

Love looking round currys. Good value for money. You can pick up some good bargains

I will keep this short although it's really long.

I first ordered a Vigin pay monthly sim through yourselves delivery was Saturday 25/2/17,this clearly showed pay monthly on your packaging & order,on trying to connect it to Virgin and two long calls to them at my expense they insisted it was PAYG,after two conversations with your helpline one operator was completely incompetent,told me it had nothing to do with Carphone Warehouse,however ringing back both times at my expense a very efficient operator said she was very sorry for any inconvenience caused and told me it could only be returned to the nearest shop she was unable to help online where the account would be cancelled,I did this.

On arrival there was a large queue as in normal in this Store, anytime of day,having waited approximately 15 minutes I was served by Greg who suggested they'd sold loads of these without a problem,"stating there must be a problem with my Credit Status",as my wife has had a Virgin pay monthly sim for years with every payment made on time by Direct Debit,i totally refute this allegation,further I have never ever been refused credit in my nearly 58 years and cannot express my anger enough with this suggestion.

Saturday afternoon i visited the Lancaster store,first being greeted by the Currys/Pc World Manager,he explained it was one of your Staff we needed to see,he promptly shouted a member of staff I believe was called James,although I cannot be certain,my Grandson promptly explained what he would like,soon leaving the Store highly satisfied around 2pm,he'd even installed the SIM card so it was ready to go,on leaving I expressed my thanks to the Store Manager and to your member of Staff.

Within an hour we were back at the Store as the Phone had developed a serious Screen Fault,(a common condition if you search the net),the member of staff that sold it to us did not appear to be around,being dealt with by another incompetent one,very tall guy,who clearly hadn't a clue what he was doing,summoning someone we believe to be called Adam,between them neither could sort the issue,suggesting we leave it till tomorrow around 2pm as the account did not yet appeared to have been registered therefore they couldn't do anything,unhappy we left the store.

We duly returned at that time,being dealt with by Daniel,who said "I'm not going to sugar coat this but it should have been dealt with yesterday ",this was as i had suspected the previous night,incompetent staff,however he immediately set to,this took some time,offering us a chair,we said we'd have a little walk and come back,on return roughly 45mins from first returning it to the store we left with a new phone,(big mistake didn't get him to fit the sim).

On arrival at home we tried to open the holder with the tool supplied,no chance,my Grandson showed me his present model I phone 5,the holder sits flush,on the new SE we'd just collected it clearly didn't,off we went again back to the Store,Daniel was still there,him & another member of staff tried several times to open it even with there special heavy duty versions of the tool to no avail,yes couldn't believe it yet another faulty phone obviously from the same batch,I had no other option but to get a refund as no further stock was available in Store,this was duly done.

Checking later I was astonished to find that my order could not be dealt with before ringing your
customer support line sent at 19.39hours,finding again astonishing as your hours for that day state clearly only open till 17.00hours,if I didn't contact them within five days the order would be cancelled. I rang the given number twice today to be greeted once but a usual useless operator however on the second occasion I actually achieved an intelligent operator (rare I know) who helpfully claims that I will receive a fully functioning phone and sim combo tomorrow morning. Let's hope for the third time lucky however this is still too optimistic.

ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE CLEARLY YOU DO NOT NEED THE BUSINESS,THEREFORE BAD NEWS TRAVELS FASTER THAN GOOD.

Prices may be good but the staff show a distinct lack of interest and have very poor customer service skills. I have recently been in twice to buy a couple of things the first time I was told the item I was looking for was "over there somewhere!" and the second time I was ignored by a young woman at the till who then served somebody else and when I was eventually served I was told I was at the wrong till. The young woman whilst I was waiting clearly saw me holding an item I wanted to purchase and had ample time to advise me to go to the other desk. I am not sure who manages the place but they need to wake up! Clearly mystery shopping does not exist.
