Earlier today I vistied the Marsh Mills store to purchase a Beko freezer. It was in store but not on display so approached the two staff greeting customers at the top of the stairs. In common with many other reviewers the level of service is appalling. They could not be bothered to move away from their position and deal with my questions and complete the sale and lead me to understand it was not in stock. What is the point of having two sales staff just standing around doing nothing. I came prepared to collect it but I am not happy to have to make my way back to the store again to collect it. If I now want it delivered tomorrow I would have to pay £29.99 to have it delivered. Is it a wonder that this store has such poor custommer service ratings.

One star because the lights were on and it was warm. Telephoned night before.. Yes no problem if they're not too busy they will take it in for repair. I explained what I had done and the symptoms.. Yes no problem. There were two staff members one chatting to a customer long after he received his receipt and not appearing to notice the building queue. Eventually, OK see you and on to me.. Oh your PC is not on the "Fix it" list.. Can't promise anything but our in-house engineers can have a look. Paid £60.00 (which was very fast). Forgot to say that the whole of this time the other staff member had talked to her customer and spent at least 7 minutes ringing a number and staring into space, no attempt at engaging her customer in conversation. Received my receipt and escaped. Staff were detached with no interest. Will try a smaller business next time, have to balance the accountability of a small outfit as to whether they will be around.

Stacey on returns is an absolute gem, she was so helpful and good to us. She sorted out our issue straight away and was extremely helpful. I can't rate her enough, everyone we encountered at Currys was great actually we were super impressed. Two very happy customers! Thanks Stacey.

The staff were extremely helpful and efficient. I went with mum to get a dishwasher and they patiently explained everything about the model that interested her... She came away feeling that she got exactly what she needed. Good price and excellent service.

We walk in and are greeted at the door, nice friendly touch. We then go up stairs to look for the washing machine and found the one we wanted. It then takes 30 mins to find a member of staff to serve us, my partner even went back downstairs to find a guy standing at the door to see if he could help but he said that he couldn't. Once we do find a member of staff to serve us, we are then told they didn't have that model in stock or in the warehouse and when asked if they could get it back in stock, he said that they couldn't. We then asked if we could have the one on the shop floor. He said that this isn't possible neither, because they need it to show people (why they need to show people if they can't get it in stock is beyond me! Why show people something they can't have anyway!) So we said we will take a different model. They said they had 15 in the warehouse. We said great we will take it! The sales man then said "Sorry but you can't take it today but will have to have it delivered" (which we have to pay for, even though we had a perfectly good car to take it today) At this point we left as there is no point going into a shop to buy something that has to be delivered when you can order it online cheaper and get it delivered for free. Can someone please explain the point of a shop if you can't buy things from it?

Useless staff that dont know anything about some of the products and just rude in some cases. Never going to shop there again. Some of the staff even admited they didnt know anything about there dedicated section.

Today i took my elderly mother into curry store at marsh mills in plymouth to buy a new tv as she is quite elderly and as you can imagin not quite up on the current tvs and things of that nature she asked a assistant for help and thats where it went horribly wrong, we waited for some time hovering around hopeing to attract attention to no avail so my mother walked to the end of the tv isle and found 3 assistance two men wear talking to each other she waited for a about a minute and not one of then acktnowledge she was stood there she politely asked if one could help her after another few seconds one turn to her and said go back down and i will send someone to attend to you he then turned away and carried on with his chatting. as if she was a nuance . so as she walked back over to me she said she wanted to leave as she felt awful as if she was being nuisance. Then on our way out we asked to if the guy stood at the door was a manager he said yes and i have already had a message in my earpiece for the assistant in question but was ageing quite rude saying that if we had of wait we would of been seen we already had been waiting .So to my reasoning the assistant new he had upset my mother and was covering his back so to speak. All in all it was just an awful experiance. So needless to say we will not be returning or buying any electrical equipment from curry pc world in the near futrue or ever. Over all a very unenjoyable experience all she wanted was a new tv and some help.

Staff are outstanding here, all happy to help, the layout of the store is great, it's a massive space jammed packed with everything you could possibly want, I'm fairly regular here for a first stop look at tech, big thumbs up, thanks.

Absolutely useless. Seem to carry no stock and when they do, they get damaged during delivery. Was told to go back to store and sort out in Store, only to be sent home to ring a different number. Been a few times, purchased a couple of items and not satisfied with any purchase.

I've been in a few times.
Greeted at the front door which is nice for acknowledgement.

However no other staff members wants to help and seems to put their needs ahead of the customer.
I asked if 3 different people were busy and they all said yes but they'll be with me shortly.
15 minutes later a fourth person finally comes to help me.
Apart from the disarray with customer service.
Normally not too bad.
Just go in, get what you need and get out

Terrible service as ever. Wanted to buy a £75 pair wireless headphones. They were on a display with a security tab preventing them from being removed from the hook. Although there were only a dozen customers in store and lots of staff (a quiet Tuesday afternoon), none it seemed had time to just open the tag and give them to me to take to the till, they were so busy standing around chatting. I even found a manager who promised to find me someone. He was apologetic when that staff member disappeared en route to coming over to me, still didn't get the security tab removed. After 25 mins waiting just for the item to be given to me so I could pay, I bought them at Argos who delivered them an hour later. In the last 2 months PC World haven't had any item I chose from display actually in stock, and it seems only want to serve you if the product has a possibility of selling extra insurance. I don't bother now, try Argos or Amazon, waiting for delivery is quicker, less stressful and better customer service.

Really bad service. I wanted to look at the Garmin watches. I got told they were only trained it that area and couldn't help me. I explained I just wanted to have a look at two watches to try the sizes before buying and just got dismissed. Would have ended up buying one or the other but ended up leaving and I will buy from somewhere else with better customer service.
Have had it followed up by customer services online and have to say that the team there were very friendly so hopefully more training will now be given.

Absolutely disgusting service bought a cooker came damaged never got first replacement as it was damaged the second one came the couriers took the first cooker out and said they can't fit the second one as they aren't trained electricians so they have left live cables hanging around in my kitchen near my children absolutely ridiculous poor poor service and highly dangerous not to mention illegal went to the store and was told by tom the manager that it would be sorted out and fitted today just wait for a call which never came went back and after another hour the real manager (tony c )dealt with me and refunded me some money so I could get my own electrician to make the cables safe and wait until they can get out and fit my cooker I've never been so disgusted, if my company had did this I would be that embarrassed I would have issued a refund or offered some sort of compensation for the total disregard for human life and customer rights and service, I seriously advise against shopping for large items like cookers at currys pc world.
Many thanks
Sam

Want into get my laptop sorted as had a problem with a virus or something. The first girl I spoke to was called kat. Very friendly and helpful. Sorted it out asap. The next girl I spoke to was called J (not sure if that was her name but it was on her badge) great information about a data transfer I wanted. Both girls were great if not a bit rushed off their feet, but they were both cracking jokes. Deserve a pay rise, a credit to your store. Thank you!!!!
