Cycle King Croydon

I took the bike in for an elite service (their highest end bike service) back in June. It looked like the gears were indexed, and that was about it. It didn't seem like any of the parts were cleaned or greased. I was really hoping for a newly service bike before a race, but alas, my money was taken and my bike didn't go through the service.

I'm not sure what happened in the shop. When I called there seemed to be some confusion about what kind of service was supposed to be done on the bike.

I couldn't take the bike back to the shop as I had rides planned, and by the end, it was just too much work to take it back.

Either way, I'm not a happy customer.

Unfortunately I have had very bad experiences here at Cycle King. I have taken my bike in three times to change a flat tyre (laziness on my part I'll admit!) on each occasion on the next ride I have got another flat tyre. Now once or even twice I would put this down to bad luck, but three times especially when it is in the first few meters after riding it I can only put down to a poor replacement and a pinched inner tube or something like this. The people who work here are all very nice and friendly so it is regrettable that I have to write this, but if I can't trust them with fixing a flat tyre I certainly wouldn't want them doing anything more technical. Now it may be just my bad luck, but this has not happened at other bike shops and certainly not three times!

Absolutely fantastic! Even though I arrived right at closing time on a Saturday they stayed and fixed my issue! Did everything with a smile and had a great sense of humour! Both guys clearly liked their jobs as were both passionate and enthusiastic! Both a credit to the store - many thanks

Refreshing to receive excellent customer service. Cost was very reasonable too. I'll definitely be visiting this shop again to purchase all my family bikes in future. Thanks guys!

Very helpful and friendly guys who clearly now their stuff. Had a minor issue with my scooter, came to them hoping they can fix. They did and didn't even charge me. Definitely coming back. Great selection of bikes and all very reasonably priced.

GREAT LOCAL BIKE SHOP!! The guys in Cycle King are fantastic. Mike, Rav and Martin know their stuff inside out. I take my bike there for all maintenance and parts. I didn't purchase my bike there but went in as its the closest bike shop. If you have a top end bike and want somewhere to have it serviced, parts changed or just some advice on riding, please please go in and chat to the guys! I have tried other bike shops in the area but these guys are really the best - extremely friendly and not intimidating at all!

My chain snapped off on the way to work. A very helpful guy in the shop looked at the bike straight away when I took it in. He fixed the chain and the gears very quickly. Great service, and good price. Thanks!!
