Seat post and seat-post bolt issue: On a Friday afternoon they had the time to go through the background of the problem - how the bolt had ceased and distorted the Frame end. Made sure I could avoid future problems with saddle height adjustment. Solved it so I could cycle off home.

I buy a bike from their store with 150 pounds a month ago. The quality of bike is bad, and they don’t take the responsibility to repair the broken part caused by normal use in guaranteed term. The staff are silly and overbearing. They ruin my good impression of Uk. They don’t sell bicycles but nightmares. I will never enter into their store again.

Bought a pair of electric bikes from the shop. Staff was helpful, in particular Tony. The model I was looking for wasn’t available in the shop and Tony managed to find it in another shop. Collected the bikes in good condition a few days after. Good after sales service, went to get kids trailer fixed there. Excellent!

Refunded spare forks without a quibble. I'd like to counteract some of the negative reviews about Cycle King. Maybe I was lucky as I spoke to Keith when I wanted some replacement threaded forks (not easy to buy) and it was a good price. It so happened they didn't quite fit my old crown race by 0.6mm and I found another way to fix my problem. So I returned the forks, spoke to Keith again and got a refund with no problem.
Yes, I think probably some of the staff could be better trained, and if they don't know something they should ask a colleague, not take a best guess and misinform the customer.
And yes, they sell cheap and second hand bikes. These have inferior or worn out components so risk of failing his higher. But if all you want to do is tootle around Oxford, that's fine. If you are planning a trip round Europe, go for a better quality bike. Hopefully Cycle King will honour their warranty if you do get a problem.

The staff are helpful and knowledgeable they talk to you in a way you'll understand. I find in other shops they give you all the technical jargon which leaves me baffled. They are reasonably priced and have never had any issues after getting Betty repaired top notch mechanics. The manger built my new wheel and it runs sooo smooth. You ever want your bike fixed, in need of accessories or a reasonably priced bike then get yourself to cycle king pronto.

I have bought 2 new bikes from this place, I was aware I was buying not the highest quality but both were OK. One had a part broken I went there and they changed it under warranty. I'm not sure why the bad reviews, maybe I was lucky. Anyway at the rate bikes get stolen in oxford... I doesn't make sense to buy the crazy expensive ones

Please think twice before you buy a cheap heap of rubbish out of cycle king as I have had all my bikes come a part so if u see bike bits along the road or on the path u know were some c**t has been. all there bikes r a matter of life or dief. All so all the parts u can get from there r pissing s**t just like the bikes r as I say u can get big skips so y don't they get a lot of them to put all there bikes in just like all the crap parts and and get rid of the shop and know that more rubbish bicycles on the road. As I say keep dief of the roads so don't go to this rubbish shop again as I say bye once you buy again.

Very poor quality bikes. I have worked on bikes all my life, so I know if a shop sells good bikes when I see them. I once encountered somebody who had purchased a road bike form cycle king, and within a week the rear brakes had stopped working. This was because they had put a mountain bike brake cable on a road bike. The thing is, there is nothing wrong with selling cheap bikes for tourists, but the people that work in there are very arrogant and clueless. They have no actually qualifications, they just do on the spot training, so they actually know very little about bikes. Another person told me that they bought an ammaco bike and one of the guys in there told them that the cassette was designed to fail after a two years, which is complete b.s. The reason for 2 star is because they sell cheap decent accessories( do not bother looking for parts in here-there are none) such as inner tubes and bike lights. Overall avoid this place and if you really need to get a cheap bike, ask to buy it and build it yourself.
