This is a good little bike shop here. They have a great selection of bikes here to suit all budgets. You can go in and pay off for a bike weekly if you need to. The parts can be a bit expensive though. Also need to go with the times and get a contactless machine as you are loosing a lot of buisness.

Very good shop. Brought a £400 bike for my husband last year and if I have any queries or questions I can just email the shop and they usually reply back as soon as they can. This is the only place I go for parts for my husband's bike.

Without a doubt, the worst bicycle shop I have ever had the misfortune of visiting!

I wanted a new chainset for my bike so I thought I'd give this shop a try instead of the usual Halfords or Evans Cycles. I explained what I wanted and the complete misery behind the counter (who it has to be said, did not have the body-shape of a cyclist) presented this cheap looking object in a clear plastic packet. The crank had 'Shimano' printed on it, but the poor quality and the plain packet told me otherwise and was unlike any other Shimano part I have purchased elsewhere before? When I politely questioned this the complete misery behind the counter looked at me with disgust and said "of course it's genuine Shimano!" and when I asked if there was any chance of returning it if I encounter any problems with fitment, the complete misery behind the counter rudely replied "No! Of course you can't!". I made my excuses and left the shop promptly feeling really annoyed!

I would have thought that a shop which is no longer on the main commuter route through Rochester due to road closures, has limited customer parking and sells bicycles and parts of questionable quality and origin, would have a much better attitude to customer service than this. I work within a large organisation with lots of cyclists and I've made a point of making all my cycling colleagues aware of my experience in this shop and tell them to avoid it at all costs.

A very well stocked shop with extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. I have been using this shop for nearly 6 years and I can only praise the quality of service I have received.

I would not reccomend this shop to anyone.

My girlfriend took her bike in because the back wheel was slightly warped and the chain was slipping. They said she needed to replace the back wheel (even though in many other bike shops I've had wheels which were more warped fixed by straigtening them, and the casette and chain needed to be replaced. With labour and VAT added it came to £90 which was approaching the price she paid for the bike second hand.) At that time I felt sceptical about the repairs. Once she collected the bike she still had the same problem of the gears slipping, even though the parts had been replaced. It seemed that the reason for the gear slipping was more due to the gear changer mechanism and not the chain or the casette which they had charged for. Furthermore on the new wheel the back brakes were too loose and on trying to tighten them the bolt had snapped.

We returned the bike to the shop and asked them to fix the issues. I expected staff to apologise.

They charged £11.90 for replacing the screw and resolving the issues my girlfriend had already paid £90 to fix! When I suggested that they undertake the repair for free, as a gesture of goodwill, it was implied that I was an idiot for asking and flatly refused. He was obnoxious and abrasive.

When the bike was collected the breaks were rubbing against the back wheel.

I would reccomend repeatedly banging one's head against a wall above visiting this bike shop. I think the fact that this shop has 4 google reviews and 3 of them are 1* tells you all you need to know.

Halfords is half a mile down the road.
