Cycle Republic

Just wanted to leave a review from a lovely experience I had when purchasing a bike light last night at the Cycle Republic store on Union Street, Bristol and want to thank Siobhan who helped me with my purchase! There is great customer service at this store and great product knowledge!

I have been cycling for a few months now, started in June in the Summer and really keen to keep this up throughout winter! Unfortunately the mornings and nights are very dark now that we are in Autumn/Winter and I started to grow nervous cycling in the dark and was very worried about how I would maintain it. Whilst the Bristol and Bath Railway path is lit up okay, the country lanes passing through Lyde Green and Henfield are pitch black and quite terrifying, the nights I did have to cycle home late, I would needed to give myself words of encouragement out loud to not feel scared and use the torch on my smart phone to help me see! (Not very safe!)

I walked into the shop last night looking for a torch and there were so many options I was quite puzzled and I also know nothing about buying front bike torches. Siobhan, identified the confused pathethic mess I was and asked if I needed help, which I was extremely grateful for! I specifically mentioned that I was looking for a lower end torch as I wanted to eventually invest in something more high end, but just needed a front torch that would help me see where I was going and was good enough to light up the very dark route I had to cycle. Siobhan made very good recommendations and helped me compare a few and we had a lovely chat!! Siobhan was very friendly, funny and helpful

Cycling back home today was a breeze, my light was very bright, and had a wide view and I was not scared at all. I want to continue cycling to stay fitter, and am planning a cycle from Bristol to Paris in Summer 2018. Really happy with my experience from Cycle Republic, and I can't wait to come back to the store as I continue to buy things that I need to continue my cycling journey!

Just experienced some of the best customer service I've ever had - not just for bikes but anywhere! They sorted out a repair on my bike quickly and with a smile and recommended a mudguard & a rack that I'm delighted with. Thanks Cycle Republic guys - I'll definitely be back!

Great Service and Support from Charlie and Dan, sorry cant remember all the names but really all the staff were very helpful at the Bristol Branch. Sourced the bike and size i was looking for and had ready for collection within a couple of days. Couldn't do enough to ensure all questions were answered. Highly recommended !!

Great service.

I ordered a new bike from Cycle Republic. When I arrived to pick it up, it hadn't yet been built. 27 minutes later, the bike was ready to be collected - pretty quick! Ben (who built the bike) was super; he knew his stuff and took his time explaining things to me (an enthusiastic novice), despite the fact that doing so meant that I was still in the shop past the official closing time. My service at the till was great too (sorry - i've forgotten a name here!): the staff are clearly willing to go the extra mile.

I'll certainly be going back, and would recommend the shop to others.

Really great service - I walked my bike in after work on the off chance they had a free moment to have a look at my dodgy brakes, gears and chain. They had a look at my bike there and then, explained what was going wrong with the different parts I’d highlighted (most of it was very simple, and they told me how I can sort it out easily at home, and showed me what I needed to do). In terms of my chain, I had a bad link which they replaced quickly for me, and they charged me only for the part and not for any of the labour. Super friendly staff that were very helpful and informative - thank you! My bike is no longer clunking or squeaking!

Bristol is a crowded marketplace for bike stores and so to get on, a store has to make a difference. This is that store. The mechanics and sales staff are absolutely second to none in their enthusiasm and knowledge. Particular thanks to Josh (mechanic) who changed a cassette while I waited doing a first class job and taking a genuine interest in my riding and bike while doing so. All here are helpful, skilled and incredibly friendly. A gem of a place.

Had the groupset on my bike upgraded here and the staff were really fantastic; Josh, Ben and Chris! They gave me so much help and information so I could decide what to get. When I brought my bike in the work was completed so quickly, even though they were really busy - so I was able to ride the same day and it was amazing! Brilliant value for money and really high quality work - thank you so much! :)

WOW! Love this shop. Such a great team all with incredible knowledge of the bikes and products they sale. Took my Giant for a Silver service expecting to wait a while like other stores and Josh who's in charge of the workshop was able to take it in, wack it in his stand and have it ready by the end of the day. Fast turn around , friendly staff , good location and amazing service. Bike feels better than ever after my service and new goodies from the store! Definetely the place to go! Thanks guys!
