I bought some Full mud guards that they said would fit, took them home I fitted the front ones (did not have to take the wheel off to do this) then as i was fitting the back ones I noticed that the mud guard stays/rods would not reach! I then phoned and spoke to the person who sold them, (spittle fields store they said bring the bike in and they will fit it for free as they may have longer stays. so I went to the store and they told me it wont fit and gave me a refund.

I then went to the store on stripe street and they told me the can fit it but its now no longer free after I came to terms with this and accepted i came to pick up my bike two hours later, at a glance it all looked fine, on the way home i could here something rub so i looked it was not the mud guards it was my front disc brake, they took my wheel off (this was obvious as my quick release skewer was fitted on the wrong side and pointing sideways instead of up) I also notice that my disc brake caliper had been messed with and the disc was also now bent. now I know this was not like this before, as I am a bicycle mechanic my self and i checked everything before going back to the shop. I never take my bike to shops because all the bad things i hear from some of them but i thought this store was going to be a good one as the mechanic sounded genuine (he did not know I was also a mechanic, and the only reason I needed them to fit them because I recently sold most of my tools. I then also notice as the mudguard (back) had to be cut and drilled to fit, he did a good job with the cutting however he drilled off centre so the mudguard dose not sit straight.

Do your self a favor and only use the independent stores who actually care about there customers and there bikes!

I felt like they messed up my bike just for me to come back and pay more to fix it ( I did not expect this from cycle sugary maybe from Halfords as ive seen it happen there alot.) luckily I know how to fix the disc and and the brakes.

yes i could have called the store to have a moan or complain but from experience they will just most likely as me to bring the bike back which i did not trust in doing,

I will never use them again for repairs. I will rather use the London Bicycle workshop or Soho bikes!

Despite living outside of London this has become my go to bike shop. Barry and Tom really know their stuff and are always happy to pass on their knowledge. Not only do I get my bike fixed here but I always learn something too. Top service.

Best customer service of all the bike shops I visited prior to buying my bike

Went in first thing in the morning where I met Alex, who helped me fit a new tyre and also new brake pads! Very helpful and knowledgeable, will be back. They also do price matching even with on line retailers so you can always get the best price.
