Cycle Surgery

The best team ever. I arrived unannounced with a ramshackle cycle and they gave me a quote, fixed everything including spare parts for a good deal in less than 4 hours.

Came in for puncture repair. Back break now rubs and gears don't work properly! Other reviews right, don't go here- the mechanics are useless

AVOID. I came into this store with the intention of buying a Kalkhoff E-bike, After browsing around for nearly 10 minuets only then did a memeber of staff speak to me. When I walked in he was sitting reading emails- seeminly going out of his way to avoid eye contact or any communication for that matter. When he finally approached me, he seemed friendly enough however as I started to ask questions about the various e-bikes they had in store, it was very apparent he had NO IDEA what he was selling. He had to keep checking the tickets to see what engine / system the bike had and didn't even know the basic spec! Turns out this was the MANAGER - Edmundas (Or so he said) He would be better off working at the back in a Macdonalds kitchen, cooking fries- with no customer interaction. If you are seriously looking to get a E-bike, Go to 50Cycles because this cycle surgery is a joke.

I took in my bike to have the back tire changed, the bike's alfine hub was working perfectly but the Spanish guy Michele or Daniel replaced my tire but messed up the alfine hub, so now the bike is unrideable and would need to spend a fortune to replace the damage or buy new group set. He even had the nearve to tell me that the hub was already broken which is fulse because I only had a puncture and I had been riding it for that morning. The funny thing is I was in there a few weeks before and the same guy was F'ing and blinding in the repair booth upstairs nodout because he is out of his depth as a bike salesman and machanic, when he finally acknowledged me he was very shirty and short tempered , and I was looking to buy a brompton as well. Why I went into the shop the second time was a wonder , I only did because evens was taking too long to serve me. I should take legal action but I'm too busy , there goes 250£ down the drain, brexit couldn't come sooner , I mean the cheek of the guy telling me it was working when I gave it to him.

Don't use their services well not in this branch, however the one on hollaway road isn't bad. Should have walked my bike there instead.

Excellent, finally found a good shop with good people so I don't have to go to Evans anymore and waste my time there

This shop need staff traning, they don't know how to talk and treat a customer.

Amazing staff! Ed has been particularly helpful. They are patient and are happy to answer any question and find the perfect fit for you! The staff knows their stuff and made me consider few things that I havent thought about.. Highly recommended!

reliable servicing, though the minimum service charge is unbelievably expensive (just for the smallest thing, it's like £10). Good stock, especially of accessories. Knowledgeable staff

Bought a bike worth over £1000. The salesman suggested I used clipless pedels... I'd never used them before and he forgot to mention the part of which. They are dangerous and clearly for advanced users. My brand new bike. Scratched it badly on each side after my first ride. Because of these pedels! Very upset. I couldn't get the hang of them and he should have warned me, that they are tricky to use. Really bad advice to be honest. I could have hurt myself badly. The option of flat pedels should be put forward by default and then the recommendation of clipless - with a fair warning at least! I would have much rather started with flats. Getting the hang of the ride. Then switched to clipless afterwards and tried them out. Instead of damaging a brand new bike and potentially killing myself! 2 stars because the service when I initially bought the bike was fine. However this advice is just absurd and dangerous... I didn't even know what clipless shoes / pedels were ! Well I do now and my bike shows it.

Seemed polite when talking to the female customer in front, as soon as it was my turn to speak to, the guy had no time for me. Seems there is a pattern here as all the 1 star ratings r from guys.....

If it were possible to give this place 0 stars I would. Rude and unhelpful service - was told I'd have to pay £260 for a "service" on a supposedly "unusable" second hand bike I'd been cycling safely and happily for three months. Calling this place "Cycle Surgery" is a joke.

Nice staff, good selection of bikes. Somehow slow service, hence 4 instead of 5 stars.
