Cycle Surgery (Permanently Closed)

There is only one saving grace about this place and that's a bespectacled gentleman (who's name I don't know) that works there who clearly has a passion for cycling and is always cordial. The rest of the staff have only ever treated me with contempt and down right rudeness when he isn't around. Considering the prices it's really not worth it. I just wish it wasn't the only place close to my work.

More than 10 days to prepare a bike I bought.

Try to pick up another store for your bike.

A big thank you to Ross for such a great effort to get my new bicycle ready in a very short time even though he had a very busy schedule. Also thank you to Philip for his simple but effective advice on every question I had. You guys a asset to the Cycle Surgery. The level of service and knowledge is second to none. Highly recommended.

Great staff in here. They've always been very helpful, giving me small parts for free (replacement bells, M bolts etc).

I found the particular man who served me to be incredible condescending, and rude. I brought my a vintage bike for a standard wheel replacement, and while I appreciate cycle surgery deals mainly with newer bikes, I don't think is attitude or demeanor was in any way warranted. The man didn't give me a quote, and told me I should get rid of it without entertaining any other options! I really don't think discouraging and judging cyclists based on their bike is the ethos of the cycling community. I have since gotten my bike repaired by another company without any qualms, or judgement so it's not as if my bike was beyond repair! I was extremely disappointed in the level/lack of service. I would much have preferred for him to simply say we don't service vintage bikes, rather than make me feel like I should only be spoken to if I owned an expensive bike!

i found the staff very helpful and knowledgeable. the store has a good range of products from bikes to accessories and i was able to find what i wanted quickly and easily.

it can get quite busy over lunch time so i try to go outside of these times if i need any actual help or advice.

Outstanding. Good value, knowledgeable and friendly staff that clearly understand the value of good customer service.

I came in with my bicycle because the chain fell off and a staff member named Tom Ranft was very understanding and took care of me.
I was back on the road in no time with a smile on my dial.

Turned up on Sunday morning 5 June, after a phone call about a Trek Bike they had on offer on their website. So sorry I can't remember the name of the guy who was there and was incredibly helpful in ensuring that the bike was as good a fit as he could say for me personally. After riding it around the local streets my husband and I were happy that it was indeed a great buy. He gave us so much help and support, that we were very happy to take it home immediately. I have since had a couple of good, long rides on it and I am very very pleased. Thank you so much. Highly recommend their service.
