Cycles Learning Centre

CYCLES Learning Centre is an educational institution applying a modified and proprietary version of an inquiry-based process curriculum by simultaneously targeting language and subject matters. Founded by Gelareh Kamyab and Erfan Aghanoorian in 2019, CYCLES aims to provide a first class tuition service pinpointing a proprietary methodology built up around Inquiry-Based Curriculum. Our tuition service scaffolds students' motivation, autonomous learning and inquiry-based behaviour. Some characteristics to our approach include: • Providing opportunities to share personal experiences• Employing various vehicles to identify learners' previous knowledge• Designing a course based on needs analysis• Regular goal-setting activities• Providing opportunities to interact and ‘negotiate to meaning'• Employing referential questions to create a more naturalistic environment and allow reasoning and communication skills• Creating a learner-centred environment where the teacher acts as an observer and facilitator• Allocating equal focus on grammar, vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading and writing skills• Developing research skills based on the posed questions• Adopting strategies to overcome anxiety and stress such as peer teaching and collaborative group work• Scaffolding reflective behaviour• Employing alternative assessment strategies; ‘assessment for learning'• Assisting the learners to learn how to make choices and identify the gap in their knowledge• Using authentic assessment models• Holding regular individual and group feedback sessions• Accommodating opportunities to connect to a wider community
