Well it’s now official our next planned C90 challenge has been called off re the corona virus Brian who is more than 5000 miles into his 7000 mile walk around the entire coastline of Great Britain and Ireland has had to postpone until this is all over with We were due to meet up with him on the south coast and Isle of Wight sometime in April but sadly it’s on hold I would just like draw attention to the enormity of Brian’s efforts during this challenge he set himself to try ...and roll out daft as a brush cancer patient care around the whole country He’s in his mid seventies and walks between 10 and 20 miles every day What a guy. I’ll keep everyone on fb up to speed just as soon as new plans are made

Hi all can’t believe it’s almost 2 years since we did the north coast 500 for Daft as a Brush cancer patient care. Anyway we are planning to meet Brian on his 7000 mile walk around the whole of the UK and Ireland in April for a ride around the the Isle of Wight if anyone fancies a ride out Dates still to be confirmed as he’s walking from Lands end at the moment towards the I O W. Nearer the time when we are certain of dates I’ll let you know also details of just giving page ... This is for such a good cause as Brian with his own money set up this wonderful charity which transports free of charge any cancer patient to and from all hospital appointments eliminating all of the inconvenience of hospital transport and parking. All the buses/ambulances are individually booked and staffed by caring volunteers Please check out the Daft as a Brush page Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care

Amazed. We made our local paper with almost a full page in the journal and articles in the Northumberland gazette and the Hexham courant. Thanks to everyone who donated it’s for a wonderful cause and a great charity

User

Such a great charity can’t wait to do something else probably with the mopeds again.

What an adventure!! Dan and Mick you’re both legends thanks for the company the support the friendship and the laughter. Thanks to Brian Cheryl and Scott for the fantastic welcome in Inverness and the night out. What a laugh Thanks to everyone who donated to this wonderful cause. Your generosity is very much appreciated And those 20 odd year mopeds we have absolutely wrung every bit of the limited power and speed out of them. How they haven’t just self destructed I will never know , what a hoot. Whether it was up the steepest rising road in Britain ( the bearlach na ba) in the worst weather imaginable to being blown around like an empty crisp packet up alone the northern most coast and then today getting ever last drop of speed/ power out of a 90cc moped imaginable. They are truly fantastic. Thanks everyone

User

Well the boys are back, please if you have not donated anything please support them, I know they have had a fantastic time with not too many problems apart from cloud and rain but this is for a fantastic course for local communities

User

We have 1065.00 on line and have approx 750.00 on donations from people and friends who don’t want to donate on line, so if you can can we get a few more donation and make 2000.00 is for a really great charity who pick up cancer patients so they don’t have to wait for an ambulance to take them home after treatment xxxx

The end of another fantastic day the mist is starting to roll in and the bird song dying down. Really don’t want this adventure to end. On the way down to Inverness in the morning hoping to look at the squeeze point in the Cromarty Firth and see the dolphins chasing salmon

Arrived in Dornoch to glorious sunshine after a breezy ride down from John o Groats. It’s beautiful here. Got here early so bit more relaxed we’ve set up next to a park type bench with seats SHEAR LUXURY. Couple of drinks cleaned up the out for an Italian well we have to celebrate our last night. Only about 30-40 miles in the morning back to the van in Inverness then home. Pics taken at Lathronwheel on the way down
