Try the plates! We had the 5 for £20 option between 2 of us and had a garlic naan as an extra. The food was delicious! Each plate had a little salad and a dressing. Particularly liked the beetroot dressing! Will definitely come back.

I love this restaurant. Not your bog standard Indian but food and staff are great. We had the chefs surprise at £22.50 per head. Couldn’t fault any of it at all. Great value and really lovely food. Will definitely be back.

First time at @dabbawal and got to say normally i don’t find indian restaunts appealing as i always think home indian food is better but this restaunt is really good for the curries! Taste almost like the way me mother makes it � i tried the Chicken Jalfrezi and asked it to be hot and phewww me mouth was on fire! The masala chips tastes like Bombay mix � bt they are nice, Naga lamb curry was lush too bt not aa hot as the Jalfrezi� pilau rice aint really pilau but its nice and freshly made, Both curries were delicious! Attended on the 12/1/18. Absolutely first class food with a great setting and friendly staff. It was busy but service was still good. We had the chef’s surprise menu and every dish was delicious! The best curries/Indian food I’ve ever tasted.

We had my husband suprise birthday here on Saturday night. It was a table of 13 people. The food was lovely, the atmosphere was great and the waiting staff were very friendly and very nice.

Only thing is i did feel maybe many of the staff were new or maybe they were understaffed for a busy Saturday night? Drinks were taking a long time to come out, dirty plates and glasses left on the table for ages and their was some mistakes made with the food. Despite this we had a great time and i would definitely go back xxx

My wife and I Called in for a light meal before going to the theatre. 4 Small plates, one side, three beers and coffee. Stuffed! Very enjoyable. Probably not the cheapest place but great value.

Nice vibe but young inattentive staff, I went early doors as I hadn’t booked and felt as if I was an inconvenience the minute I walked in, even thought the place wasn’t full by the time I left.

Mixed grill starter had a beautiful lamb chop but everything else (salmon, king prawn and sheek kebab) were over cooked.

Keema nan was mediocre, the minced lamb was like a sheet of plastic though the middle. Rice nicely cooked and the lamb karahi had a tasty sauce but lacked meat content.

I’ve worked away a lot in the Midlands over the last 3 months and the 2 restaurants I ate at (regularly) topped this by a mile and were cheaper. £32 with 1 lemonade, if it was my money I would be very disappointed, thankfully on expenses.

Would I return? I think not.

We had high hopes for this restaurant. We tried to ask for a curry to be made more spicy and were told that “that didn’t match the concept of the restaurant”. What utter rubbish - they only couldn’t do that because they batch make the food then reheat it, obvious as the food was not that hot, the chicken tasted like rubber and it gave us both an upset stomach the next day.
