Charity shops and Household Waste Recycling Centres are closed and textile banks are not being emptied regularly as usual. Please hold onto items that you would usually take to these places until sites reopen and services return to normal.
Do not leave items and bags on the floor outside closed sites or next to full bins. This is illegal fly tipping, adds pressure to our overstretched services and is cleared away as waste, not recycled or reused. socsi.in/aSfkH
... We are all in this together, please act responsibly. #TeamDacorum

Disposable gloves, face masks, tissues and wipes are being littered throughout the borough. Please think of others and dispose of these safely in a bin or at home. Litter is never acceptable, but behaviour like this puts the public at risk, as well as our overstretched crews who need to clean this up. We are all in this together... #TeamDacorum
If you are showing symptoms of coronavirus, then you must make sure that any of your contaminated waste such as tissues and wipes are disposed of securely by tying them in a plastic bag and keeping them aside for 72 hours before putting the bag in your grey bin. socsi.in/EpeG1

Our collection crews have been doing a fantastic job under challenging circumstances. All of your kind messages of thanks that you have been leaving out with your bins are greatly appreciated by our crews and have been helping to keep their spirits high. Here’s a sneaky look behind-the-scenes at our depot… can you spot yours? #TeamDacorum

During this difficult time, we are doing all we can to advise and support our local businesses.
Over the past three weeks, our Economic Development team have responded to queries from 97 businesses, many of which have contacted us for the first time. We have provided business advice and signposting information.
We have written to all businesses that we believe qualify for government grants (businesses that are subject to small business rates relief, rural rate relief or a...re in the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors).
For more information about support for local businesses please see: socsi.in/SOU9m Our Economic Development team can be contacted by emailing business@dacorum.gov.uk or calling 01442 531002.#TeamDacorum

Bank Holiday Monday: all bin collections will be one day later this week. As per your Waste Collection Calendar - if you need a copy of this you can find it here: socsi.in/rD8qu
Due to access issues and staff resources, we are experiencing higher reports of missed bins. If your bin has been missed, and your collection day has passed, please report this on our website (not in the comments): socsi.in/EVh6K
If your neighbour's bins were also missed this is likely to be because ...of access issues, you do not need to report this - the crew will return again soon.
Keep your bins on the boundary of your property until they are emptied.

We are urging residents to think about the waste that they are creating during their time at home. This may mean putting off having a clear-out until later in the year. Or storing any excess waste from DIY projects, spring cleans or garden waste at home until it can be disposed of safely and legally. Please read more about what you can do with your waste: socsi.in/D2I5w
Although we are currently able to maintain kerbside collections, our Waste Services are still under considerable pressure due to staff shortages. This is a difficult time and we need residents to help play their part, too in not creating excess waste - any small help makes a big difference when we all pull together. We would like to thank residents for their cooperation and understanding during this time.

The NHS has launched a new Coronavirus Status Checker. This aims to help the NHS coordinate its response and build up additional data on the outbreak. People with potential COVID-19 symptoms are being asked to complete the status checker and answer a series of questions which will tell the NHS about their experience, no matter how mild.
