The room was tidy and spacious. Shower was amazing! Breakfast was excellent. We also has a gorgeous dinner one evening, although it was slightly expensive. The spa was well equipped. Overall we had a really pleasant stay and would definitely go again.

Very nice rooms. Views over the lake are great. Would definitely recommend upgrading to a suite. Main road rooms are quite noisy though. Breakfast and dinner were nice but drinks took a while to come and the restaurant seemed unorganised. Would definitely stay here again

I've not actually stayed here but have had the unfortunate pleasure of being a victim of card fraud. When I found that my card details were used to book this hotel I called up straight away. The manager was more than helpful, he went to find the guest that was staying there and confronted him, calling me a few times to verify that the guest definitely wasn't known to me. He also ensured that the guest paid the amount that had been taken from my bank (even though my bank is paying the money back in) I suppose to cover their expenses and just for the sake of making him pay! I can't remember the managers name but he was very pleasant and kind to me of my situation.
Looks like a lovely place to stay though!!

Very quaint little place; interesting to see. A very knowledgeable guide explained beautifully. A visit to the adjacent museum is very enlightening too.
Parking is 'pay & display' and a little haphazard.

Fantastic afternoon tea. The best I've ever had (and I've had a lot!) The hotel itself is beautiful and right by the lake, and has a large, free car park. The afternoon tea looked amazing and tasted even better. They catered wonderfully for vegetarians and made sure we were aware what was and was not vegetarian. We ended up taking a lot home and we were given lovely boxes for this. I will 100% definitely be back.

I stayed here last month with my Fiancée. I can say honestly this hotel does not deserve its 5 star rating. First off, the reception and porters are very slow in dealing with any requests from customers, often forgetting them completely.
When making a complaint to hotel management all they could offer us was, a £7.5 discount on room service... not acceptable.
After this we tried going to the advertised Spa, only to find out that you would have to call weeks in advance to book any treatments. Customers should be warned not to expect any spa treatments unless booking a month before your stay.
Also, when we tried to enjoy the therma spa open to all guests, one of the spa receptionist tried to tell us we couldn't use their robe and slippers because we weren't having any treatments...
The hotel is truly overrated and overpriced, don't bother wasting so much money thinking they offer a 5* experience.
