Dagenham Library

It is a public library in Dagenham Heath way. The building also house some office of London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. Customer service is good. Roadside parking available.

You have to wait long on a regular day. And the people are very helpful and friendly.

Cost and helpful staff. Just council enquiry part is always super busy

Noisy and children were running around. Though they provided free internet. The toilet was dirty.

It's a big local libery that house offices on ground floor for council/housing inquiries. There's often some sort of event happening targeting children and adults. It's spacious and has toilets. Libery's staff seem friendly and helpful where's council/housing staff can't always be called the same.

Because of moving council from Barking to Dagenham they have such a mess. I took unpaid day off from work to go to Dagenham one stop shop where is Barking council now. When I came lady on reception told me system is down and they can't help me. There is no phone number to ask for information before you leave your home so I could ask if system is OK, etc.
I came on Saturday at 3.30 lady on reception told me that they are closed, they won't give out anymore tickets. On their website, still there is information that they are open from 9 to 17.
Council staff is not trained well. My papers were on wrong tray for 2 months. Only because I called them they noticed that.
Another time they miss count my income and I had to come about 5 times and call them another 5 times to prove them that they made mistake and I shouldn't pay back any money.
It's a nightmare. Avoid council services if you can.

Huge variety of books whether its for yourself your kids or the whole family. Also the noise level is very quite, perfect if concentration is needed

Staff quite efficient and ready to assist.

It's a shame how several local libraries were closed to allow this to open. It's ok, and staff will order books they don't have in stock, but I do miss the excellent reference sections that used to exist in other libraries in the borough.
