🐲We have had a fantastic day at nursery today . We have been dancing and moving our bodies like a Chinese dragon. We really enjoyed having a go at making our dragon puppet move.

🚗Lots of the children at nursery have a current interest in cars and trains and going on a journey. 🚌🚂
To use the children's current interests we would love your help!
🏘We would love it if anyone could please take a photo of their house and/or their street name and bring in the photo to nursery for us to use. Alternatively, if you could send us a photo either to our email or through Facebook, we can print them out and fasten them onto bricks for the children to identify their... own house and use it on their journey/adventure.
We are also looking for photos of your family to add to our environment .

✨Thankyou very much to our parents who joined us at our reading session today.
✨We have also been really busy this afternoon making a road for our cars to travel on. We decided which way it would go and the children decided we needed a tunnel to go through! They then decided to add our photos of local places of interest such as the hospital and Conisbrough castle. The language the children were using to describe their journey was fantastic!! ✨We added the train track and the children added the train bridge to go over the road to link the two together.

🍜We have had a very busy day at nursery today ! We have tried to use the chopsticks to pick up the spaghetti ! It was really tricky but we were go for it gorillas having a try. 🍜The noodles were really slippery and they kept falling off our chopsticks. 🍜We have also been looking at Chinese numbers. Tomorrow we will try to make some marks that look a bit like Chinese numbers or letters.

Happy Chinese New Year . This year it is the year of the pig 🐖 So far at nursery this week we have 🍜enjoyed experimenting with chopsticks trying to pick up the Pom poms . 🍜We have also looked at the Chinese newspaper with the Chinese writing on. ... 🍜On Friday we will be trying some Chinese food.

✨This week at nursery we have really enjoyed joining in with the RSPB big bird watch. We made some bird feeders to hang in our nursery garden. We have really enjoyed looking through the binoculars to find birds.

❄️Today at nursery we have really enjoyed exploring the ice! It was so cold . We found this big piece of ice outside so we decided to bring it inside to explore it further! We noticed it was very slippy and hard.

❄️What a fantastic day we have had at nursery today! We have enjoyed exploring the ice in our nursery garden. We thought it was funny that our onions and pasta were frozen! The children have enjoyed talking about the ice what it felt like, the different patterns in the ice and what happens when the ice was in the sun☀️

❄️As the weather is getting much colder please can you make sure your child has a warm coat, hat, gloves and scarf. We access the outdoor garden in all weathers . Today the children will be going outside in small bursts then coming back inside to warm up. Thankyou for your continued support! ❄️

💤😴If anyone would like any more support surrounding sleep these are the dates for the sleep clinic. Ring the number at the bottom of this sheet and they will book you on .😴💤

✨At nursery we are looking after the children's well being. The children are really enjoying our yoga sessions to help calm their body and mind. We have been practising a few poses every day. These are 2 of the poses your child can practise at home.✨

✨If you would like to join in the big bird watch at home it's free and you can take part online or send off for a pack by post! If you do decide to join in we would love to see your photos of your child looking for the birds outside.

✨We have had a fantastic day at nursery today! Thankyou very much for the giant wooden cable reel we have had donated to nursery. We had great fun getting it into our nursery garden! 🐦We have been inspired by the RSPB big bird watch that we will be taking part in next week and we have created a nature table. We made a bird bath to go on top and we have filled our bird feeders ready to start looking for birds.🐦

One of our play trays today has been based on the children's current interest of lightening McQueen and the cars film. We try to incorporate a current interest play tray at each of our reading sessions. If your child has a particular current interest and you would like us to incorporate that interest in our reading events please let a member of staff know!✨📖

This really is such a wonderful setting with such caring staff . My daughter has loved coming and we wouldn't have wished for her to be anywhere else!!! It really is the best nursery all you need to do is look at the photos to see what a fantastic environment they have achieved.

This is one amazing nursery 3 of my granddaughters have been ere one still is and there amazing especially our ruthy and nicky and suzanne x

Staff in 2year nursery (Nicky)are absolutely amazing with my Lil boy he's turning into a realy polite, caring, independent, well mannered little boy I'm soo proud of him n how much he's learned whilst attending daisychain 2year nursery A SPECIAL THANKYOU TO NICKY FOR ALL HER HARD WORK WITH MACCAULEY HE LOVES N ALWAYS LOOKS FORWARD TO PLAYIN WITH NICKY xxxxx

Lovely staff, so welcoming and feel so relaxed!

Love what you have done with your outdoor area it looks such good fun. My grandaughter loves the mud kitchen and now has one in her garden. She also loves the fairy egg and has been singing the fairy egg planning song all afternoon.

Love all the staff and my son does too they are great! Best thing i ever did with connor was start him here. Hes gone from a quiet little boy to a confident lad and his talking has improved alot. I will definitely be sending my daughter when shes old enough, she already visits haha.

Jack loves it ere I can't thank nikki Ruth and rest of the team enough for making jack comfortable xx

I can't thank the staff enough in the over 3s room for all the care & support they have shown to Harvey. I honestly didn't think he would ever settle anywhere, after being unsuccessful in 2 other previous settings. Harvey now loves going to nursery and always talks about how kind jodie, fran and Jenny are. Thank you all for making Harvey feel welcome and for supporting me when I've been an emotional wreck xx

I can't thank daisy chain enough for bringing the most out of my little girl. She really found her feet here. Going from a shy baby to being a outgoing mothering type little lady. So proud. Thank you. Xx

Extremely happy with my daughters report, Ava-lee is moving back to the north east as daddy will be joining the forces this month. So I would like to say a big THANKYOU to all of the staff at the 2&3 years room and extremely happy with the outcome my daughter has achieved from been at daisy chain nursery. Ava-lee will miss everybody there especially Nikki & Ruth, but has defiantly enjoyed her time with you all. So many thanks from mammy & daddy for all the work to help Ava turn out to who is today a very bright little lady. Thanks agen, Steph & Aaron

Excellent nursery. My daughter really loves it and all the staff are brilliant and friendly. An amazing nursery for any child. Best start to school life they could ever have.

Elliott has progressed so well while being at Daisy Chain. This is thanks to the hard work & dedication of you all. Today's graduation ceremony was such a special occasion with so much thought put into it, we had a lovely afternoon. We will miss you all lots, thank you for everything. X
