рЯМЉ How to treat a minor head bump рЯМЉ
рЯМЉ Minor head injuries usually require no treatment and you can look after your child at home
рЯМЉ It's normal to have symptoms such as a slight headache or feeling a little bit sick
... рЯМЉ To help recovery:
рЯМЉHold an ice pack (or a bag of frozen peas in a tea towel) to the injury regularly for short periods in the first few days to bring down any swelling
рЯМЉRest and avoid stress вАУ your child does not need to stay awake if they are tired but keep an eye on them regularly.
рЯМЉIf you are concerned, visit your local GP or call 111
рЯМЉA child should go to hospital immediately if they suffer from: worsening headache, nausea, vomiting, increased drowsiness, weakness in an arm or leg, speech problems, dizziness, bleeding or fluid from an ear or more, visual problems, seizures or confusion over the next few days.

рЯТЩJacks lawрЯТЩ
Working parents will now be entitled to 2 weeks bereavement leave.
Although I can not imagine any manager not authorising time off for parents who suffer a loss like this, there are unfortunately businesses that still insist you go back to work.
... Well done Lucy herd, thank you for your drive and hard work after such a tragic loss of your son. вЩ•пЄП

рЯМЉ Croup - Sickness Sunday рЯМЉ
Croup is a condition that affects babies' and young children's airways.
Your child will usually have cold-like symptoms to begin with, such as a temperature, runny nose and cough.
... Croup symptoms usually come on after a few days and are often worse at night.
Symptoms of croup: рЯМЉ A barking cough that sounds like a seal (you can hear examples online) рЯМЉ A hoarse voice рЯМЉ Difficulty breathing рЯМЉ A rasping sound when breathing in
Treatment Croup usually gets better on its own within 48 hours.
Do: рЯМЉ Stay calm рЯМЉ Sit your child upright рЯМЉ Comfort them if they're distressed (crying can make the symptoms worse) рЯМЉ Give them plenty of fluids
вЭМ DO NOT put your child in a steamy room or get them to inhale steam вЭМ DO NOT give them cough or cold medicines
Croup It's usually mild, but call NHS 111 or see a GP if:
рЯМЉ You are worried рЯМЉ Your child is getting worse рЯМЉ Symptoms do not improve after 48 hours
Go straight to A&E if:
рЯМЉ Your child is struggling to breathe (you may see their tummy sucking inwards or a dip in their throat or their breathing sounds different) рЯМЉ Their skin or lips start to look blue or grey рЯМЉ They are unusually quiet and still рЯМЉ They suddenly get a very high temperature or become very ill

Nope itвАЩs not one of those odd puzzles you see and spend ages trying to work out the answer to only have to go into the comments to see the answer рЯЩИ
This is the hands or fingers you use when doing CPR on an adult, a child and a baby. We change our hands according to the pressure required to perform effective compressions.
So, no itвАЩs not a puzzle but it is just one thing that we teach you in our 2 1/2 hour paediatric first aid classes рЯШБ
