Freddie approached me around Xmas time asking for a training program to start at the beginning of the year. His previous total was 517.5kg and after just 5 months he totalled 582.5kg by squatting 227.5kg benching 105kg and deadlifting 250kg, this earned him 1st place at the British championships and he also walked away with the best lifter trophy. With Freddie’s work ethic combined with an effective training program he’s made some great gains in a short space of time, now let’s get that 600kg total

Last week I managed to deadlift 272.5kg/600lbs at a bodyweight of 76kg/167lbs. This was the final week of my training cycle and I also managed to get a new PB on my squat too. This weekend we have the BPU southwest Powerlifting qualifier in which a number of guys following my programming are well on track to hit some impressive numbers. I will post the results up here next week

The British Powerlifting Union’s south west qualifiers are next month and there’s a few guys competing that have been following my programming. I will post the results up here and hopefully we will see progress from everyone. In the mean time, here’s some of my best lifts from the past few weeks

Today’s deadlifts, worked up to one top set of 3 reps with 240kg. This is a 3 rep PB for me and it’s without a belt

“Why should you train to get strong?”
Being strong helps in everyday life, whether you’re carrying the shopping out of the car, doing the gardening, picking the kids up when they fall over, or playing any kind of sport... being strong WILL help!!
Training for strength can improve your mood, your self confidence and your mental strength, it can help reduce stress and anxiety and will make you less likely to get injured. These are just a few of the many benefits of strength tra...ining, it’s also cool as **** to be able to lift your own bodyweight and more.
So the question shouldn’t be “why should you train to get strong?”, it should be “why would you want to be weak?”
