Lovely clean and comfy bed. Evening meal lovely nice friendly staff. Good choice for breakfast. Only bugbear no hairdryer on our room and no spare on site apparently we borrowed one from the couple in the next room .
Well situated in the centre of Grasmere. Room wise you get what you pay for. Some smaller rooms have compact bathrooms.
Lovely hotel situated very close to Grasmere village and a short walk to the lake. Breakfast was lovely, slept well and had dinner in the on site bar Tweedies. Would do it again
Conveniently situated in the centre of Grasmere. Numerous walks from the door. Car park in on-site. Nicely appointed rooms although the one we had was very small as was the ensuite shower room. Tastefully decorated throughout. Breakfast choice and quality very good and we had an excellent meal in the restaurant. Tweedies pub next door with good selection of beers and a few gins to choose from. Would recommend and come back.

Good food in a relaxed atmosphere. Even catered for a party of 32 for us without a problem. Real ale bar Tweedies attached next door.

A charming hotel in the beautiful village of Grasmere. The public areas are cosy but with a modern finish. Breakfast was delicious and portions generous. Our favourite thing though was friendliness and hospitality of all the staff at the hotel. Very much looking forward to our next visit.
Stayed in one of the Mews rooms which are separated from the hotel and are a block of 4 rooms together. They consist of a downstairs lounge and bathroom and an upstairs bed on a mezzanine level. It was very clean and very modern. The bathroom was a good size and the lounge area was nice if a little on the small side. The upstairs is severely restricted by the sloping roof so I spent much of my time ducking to avoid hitting my head on the ceiling. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice with a buffet selection and cooked food. On the whole we enjoyed our stay but think it is quite over priced for what it is at £315 for 2 nights (small reduction on normal price I think) it is twice the price of the usual B&B we stay at in the lakes where the rooms are substantially bigger.
