Christmas Opening Hours.
Here are the opening times for our Settle and Bentham surgeries over the festive period.
We do of course provide 24/7 emergency veterinary cover 365 days of the year.

We are very proud to have received confirmation from the RCVS of our Practice Standard Scheme accreditation and Core Standards. This professional accreditation is testament to the hard work of the whole team here at Dalehead Veterinary Group, and the high standard of service achieved.

In the run up to Christmas don't forget to check your pets medication.
Those of you with animals on repeat/long term medications please make sure your pet has enough to last through the holidays.
As only a vet can dispense prescription medication, we do require 24 hours notice when ordering repeat prescriptions.
... To provide reapet medication we also need to have seen animals every 4 months for a check up. Repeat medication checks are a requirement by law, and also enable us to ensure dosing does not need to be altered, and that no side effects are developing.
So check those cupboards and drawers and get in touch if you need a restock!

Football Fever! Well we all thought Gareth and his boys efforts at this summers World Cup would the football event of the year? Oh no - we had not accounted for human table football at this years Hodder Valley Show. Goaaaaaaaal!!! Team Dalehead joined in and we have an action video of John our very own goal scorer!

We recently moved into the area with our two leonbergers. An amazing vets!

Everyone has been outstanding, but a special thank you to Guy!

We have had to go too the vets quite a few times in the last few months and they have been brilliant!!

It's not easy when you move into a new area and knowing we have found a great vet practice has helped enormously.

We have just been faced with the unfortunate situation of having to let our dog Tess go for Her final sleep due to old age and illness.

From the first time I had contact with the surgery to arrange the appointment and then at the time of Tessies appointment I was treated in a most professional and compassionate manner. The Lady who treated Tess was fantastic and I would like to thank you all for making an awful day as bearable as possible.

Thank you for slotting me in when I was not well on my holiday. Kate from Bentham and the receptionist (didn't get her name) were efficient and kind and Guy saw me as soon as. A great practice.

I would like to say a massive thank you to the vet and nurse who put my best friend to sleep last night. You was amazing with him and we couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you very much x

From the moment I phoned I felt well looked after. I was so anxious and I was offered an appointment within a couple of hours. The two vets I saw- Guy and Karen were very kind, thorough and really did care. You often worry when you have a rabbit as sometimes you hear people say "its just a rabbit". Well. My little lop eared pal is a house rabbit and to me he is everything. I was relieved to know that they took him as seriously as a Doggy.



I had a number to contact them out of hours If I had any more concerns and a home visit was offered if needed. Thankfully after much head scratching and a scary few days, I couldnt be more grateful to have my happy boy back and its all down to the lovely care he recieved. Thankyou!

For their guidance on looking after pets when fireworks being set off.
