With a 30-hour battery life, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, this is certainly up there with the rest. The OnePlus guarantees two years of software updates and a year of security updates from the release of the phone. Close to the Google Pixel, Oxygen OS is rapid and smooth in operation. The big bonus – this costs you no more than £500.

From today, under new consumer protection all new broadband customers must be told the minimum peak-time download speeds to be expected, and will be allowed to walk away from their contract if the supplier fails to meet the expectations. 95% of home broadband customers are with BT, EE, Sky, TalkTalk, Virgin Media and Plusnet, who have all signed up to this new code.
