Damas The Art Of Meze Description
Damas the Art of Meze is a new restaurant and Meze bar, bringing modern, freshly-prepared Greek and Middle Eastern food to Chorlton. Our food combines the influences of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisines.
Meze is basically a small sampling of many flavours and delicacies from these regions that we bring to our restaurant. Meze is not only a good way to try many dishes, but also a fun and sociable way of eating out. We use fresh herbs, spices vegetables halaal meat and fish to give you a genuine Meze experience like no other. The distinctive flavours are perfectly accompanied by fresh lemon and top quality olive oil.
An elegantly simple and smart interior is the perfect place to enjoy the best food in town, and for those who prefer an al-fresco dining experience, there is also a large outdoor seating area. The warm hospitality and service allows you to relax and indulge in a unique dining experience.

OPENING HOURS
Opening 6 days a week, (Tues - Sun). Kitchen open 5. 30pm till 10: 30pm.
No booking is required for dining, with the exception of special dates like Christmas and New Year's Eve. Walk-ins are welcomed.
Our normal opening hours are 5: 30pm-10: 30pm, but if there is an enquiry about a booking for an office or conference or any other enquiry, we could extend our opening hours to accommodate you.
PRIVATE FUNCTIONS:
We take party bookings, and can arrange party functions, conferences, wakes.
PARKING:
Off-road customer parking is on Sandy Lane.
CHILDREN:
Children are welcome, accompanied by adults. We provide children's seating and have a baby-changing station in the rest room.
Children's menu includes soft drink, ice cream, and a choice of main course, as well.
DISABLED FACILITIES:
We have full disabled access and have a disabled toilet.
DRESS CODE:
Smart casual. No football shirts.
CREDIT CARDS:
All major credit cards are accepted.

More progress on our mural!
We're having a mural done! The Free Spirits Arts group have kindly agreed to paint a representation of the famous ancient Roman triumphal arch (Al Kharab) on Straight Street, Damascus, on the outside wall of the restaurant (the side facing Sandy Lane). Below are a few photos of the work taking shape. It should be finished this week (weather permitting)!
Seeing some nice positive reviews for us on the Trip Advisor website. Here's the first following our name change. "The new working of this old location really works. The food was excellent and the atmosphere really good too. The staff friendly and accomodating .. my kids actually asking for this in front of their perenial former favourite call (Croma)."
Did you know that we've extended our opening hours? We're now open Tuesday-Friday: 5pm-11pm. Saturday: 2pm-11pm and Sunday: 2pm-9pm. This means that on weekends you can now pop in for lunch. The sun has finally arrived! Our restaurant features huge windows down the entire length of the property front, and on balmy summer evenings we like to throw these open onto our generously proportioned patio area. Come down and enjoy the tastes of summer. We're open today 5pm-11pm.

We're really excited about our official re-launch this weekend. The new menu will be available from Sunday and will be accompanied by a brand new website. Watch this space for details. To whet your appetite, here's another of the dishes on offer, our delicious Sea Bass Fillet: pan-fried fillets of sea bass with garlic, and king prawns, drizzled with lemon dressing, and served with seasonal vegetables.
Here's one of the dishes from our new menu, lauching this Sunday. Tawouk is char-grilled chunks of marinated chicken breast, served with garlic sauce. Great value at only £8.50.
This coming Sunday is our official re-launch date, when we will be introducing you to the delights of our brand new menu.
