As I said yesterday fat loss is a numbers game fundamentally.
Matthew Hall was burning an average 435 calories a day.
That’s over 3000 calories a week.
... He’s lost 20 lb (9 kg). He’s getting it done.

I’ve moved to @superyouproject where I give none BS info for dads.

The weekend is where you can break habits and smash your fitness goals. . I’ve been discussing with the dads in the Super You Online Dad’s Fitness Community that even a 30 minute power walk will have them smashing through body fat. . Let me just talk numbers here.... . If you did a power walk 5 times a week and let’s just say you burn 350 calories every time. . That’s 1750 calories per week. . Dads could have a few beers at the weekend and still be guilt free. . 🤜🏻🤛🏻

Now this tickled me. 😂

Within one week we’ve reached over international waters 😂 . We’ve had two educational goal busting webinars. . We’ve had dads stay on track with the basics.... . This is ‘Super You’

One thing ‘Super You’ is here to help with is getting kids involved in #fitness . Dads are already leading by example. . Thanks for letting me share this @leetommo5 . #dad #superyouproject #family #mindset #fitfam #myzonemoves @myzonemoves

Full disclosure. . One reality I’ve learnt recently is my clients are not buying how awesome I can do a Turkish Get Up. . They are not buying how I can do 100 #kettlebell snatches in less than 5 minutes.... . They are buying how I can make their Turkish Get Up look awesome. . They are buying how I can train them to do 100 kettlebell snatches in 5 minutes. . When I understood this, well let’s just say things started to change. . I start simple and build them up. . That is all.

Yes - it is definitely one of those days where I break my rule and have a #coffee in the afternoon. . Before anyone asks questions about the no coffee in the afternoon, it’s because I have the bladder of a 90 year old 😂

User

What do you eat for breakfast 😂

User

Had a couple of people ask why I didn’t do any exercise videos anymore. . It’s like this. . I think I put a fair amount of good resourceful information out there for ‘FREE’ as do many PT’s.... . That said, since starting the Super You Online Dad's Fitness Community there now has to be a line. . The line is. . People that pay me good money will get the Rolls Royce of fitness and exercise guidance within that group. . Hope that answers the question.

What are you capable of? . How many times in life have you put yourself out there to be measured against a required standard? . Think about it.... . It started in school. . You either met the grade or you didn’t. . Did you bitch about? . Did you take full responsibility for the outcome? . Taking full responsibility is when my life changed. . At school I didn’t give a shit, I thought the teachers might as well be speaking Elvish. . Did I expect to come out of school with ‘A’ ⭐️ of course not. . The first time I ever really gave it my all was when I joined the Royal Navy. . For me at this point in my life, the stakes were high. . I wanted out of my home town and to make a fresh start. . Something for my family to be proud of. . I gave it my all, I gave it everything and took full responsibility. . Guess what ... . I passed the training and became a sailor. . During my career I did this time and time again. . Physical training course ✅ . Exercise rehabilitation course ✅ . I passed and grew stronger in confidence. . I started to think ‘where is my limit?’ . ‘What am I capable of?’ . During my time of working in clinics as an Exercise Rehabilitation Professional in the RN, I could see a pattern emerging when assessing my patients. . A lot of them just need to move and move more often. Move in ways that would benefit them more. . In the fitness industry there is a lot of talk about ‘functional movements’ and depending on who your client is this can vary. . Functional movements is were I always seemed to begin to retrain my clients. . Squat, lunge, press ups, those sorts of movements. . I started to think of how can we enable people to already know these movements? . How to use their body in various ways that allows them a good quality of life? . I wrote down some ideas about a children’s book. . I spoke to a mentor of mine at the time and before I knew I’d written a book and had it published on the biggest sales platform in the world ‘Amazon’ . At this point, once again I asked the question ‘what am I capable of?’ . At the moment society uses ‘Snowflake’ to describe the non-resilience of the new generation coming through.

What do you do for a living, Dan?
It’s a question I never really have a straight answer for 😂
At the moment I work as an exercise rehabilitation professional.
... I also help personal trainers understand movement assessment and how it can increase their client retention.
On top of this I have some online PT clients, I mentor personal trainers and write children’s books.
How do you put that into a job title 😂

Lifelong's Daniel Fallon recently delivered a bespoke injury prevention workshop for boxers focussing on the hand and wrist - common injury areas within the sport. Jointly attended by the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Elite boxers and both junior and senior boxers from Poseidon Amateur Boxing Club, Dan managed to adroitly pitch the content to suit a diverse audience. Exceptionally knowledgeable, Dan delivered a unique and revolutionary approach to range of movement and stability which highlighted the common deficiencies which can lead to injury of the shoulder, elbow and wrist. Key to the workshop was the adept methods of balancing theory with practical so that boxers could not only employ a programme of pre-habilitation to avoid injury but to also understand the underpinning theory behind the exercises. A thoroughly enjoyable, educational and beneficial workshop which is a must for every boxer wishing to maintain good upper body health. Highly recommended.

I was a military patient of Dan's and I've found his knowledge to far exceed that which I saw from previous rehabilitation instructors. I follow the Lifelong videos and incorporate all of what he says. In the build up to a powerlifting competition I made sure I sent 40 minutes a day doing prehab/injury prevention and my lifts have rocketed.

I look forward to getting on to a Lifelong course in the new year. Fingers crossed there's a Lifelong injury prevention textbook/guide in the works as I'm sure it would be a best seller!

I recently attended the advanced instructors course for injury prevention and I can safely say that it is nothing short of phenomenal.

After working as a physical trainer in the army for 10 years and still working in this sector today, I was so surprised at how much I didn't know!

Daniel Fallon is so passionate about what he teaches and his enthusiasm and overall presence kept me engaged for the entire duration of the course.

I didn't think it was possible to learn so much in such little time!!!

After each day I was heading straight home and implementing the techniques Dan had taught us during the day with my own clients and was instantly seeing improvement in their movement and overall technique.

If you're a personal trainer, teacher or have anything to do with the fitness industry you cannot afford to pass this course up.

It is invaluable. Every trainer needs a Daniel Fallon in their arsenal.

User

I recently attended a 2 day workshop on 'Injury Prevention' ran by the brains behind Lifelong Movements ; Dan Fallon . Being a Physical Trainer myself and having a rough idea of what the course may cover, I expected to know the majority of what would be delivered....I was very wrong! He covered so much and broke it all down in to simple and accessible ways that catered for all learning styles. We had a wide variety of movements that we thought we understood broken down and then were shown how these could be improved in order to promote longevity. It was a big eye opener for a lot of people!

The course was 10 people strong and each one of us agreed that it was a massively worthwhile experience and are now much better coaches as a consequence. Not only that, but it is very in keeping with Lifelong's core message; that good quality movement is applicable to anybody and everybody.....not just trainers or athletes! It's fair to say that I would recommend this course to absolutely anybody that is interested in prolonging their quality of life!

User

I Recently completed the advanced coaching for injury prevention course.

What a fantastic course this is. I cannot speak more highly about it.

The coach Dan fallon explains everything in the course very clearly and keeps you fully engaged throughout.

I have never came away with so much knowledge and change of mindset after such a short time before.

I have completed various other courses to do with injuries and I have to say this is one of the best yet.

I would recommend this to any PT or professional working in the fitness industry as a must. This new approach will certainly change the way that I approach things in the future.

Thanks Dan.

Great glutes workshop this Saturday, very knowledgable and applicable info to clients to improve their hip strength and prevent injury! Evidence based, clear and interesting, thanks!

Dan's Advanced Coaching Course for Injury Prevention was one of the best courses I've been on for a while. Not only did I learn so much about movement quality and how to assess and correct fundamental movement patterns (and why it is so important to teach them!) but I also realised how much I didn't know about how and why the body moves in the way that it does! I came away with such a buzz to learn more and apply Dan's principles, not only with my students but also with my own physical movement practice. I SHALL be 'greasing the groove' every day! Dan is a hugely passionate teacher and coach and you cannot help but be inspired by his energy and enthusiasm as well as his extensive knowledge and experience. These were two days very well spent and I feel really motivated to start using what I have learnt (and to do some further learning!). Thank you Dan!

User

Dan has helped me so profoundly to address fundamental flaws in the way I move that have caused me pain and injury over the years. When I train with him I suddenly see why I'm in pain and all the areas that I'm weak. I go away feeling inspired and motivated to live healthy and move effectively.

User

Brilliant workshop. Dan conducts himself very well and explains things very clearly. Enjoyed it thoroughly and couldn't recomend him enough.

User

Brilliant 2 days spent with Lifelong. I learnt a lot to implement in my teaching but also a lot to help myself and improve my own well being. I am looking forward to moving forward with all this new found knowledge and helping others.

User

Awesome half day course thank you Dan. Very informative, feel more knowledgeable. Can definitely use these techniques with my clients. Would like to do a course possibly in the future.
