About Dance India
Dance India, conceived and created by Milapfest, is an exciting and visionary dance education programme for South Asian dance students, teachers and performing artistes.
Dance India Description
The one week residential Summer Dance School offers an extraordinary experience of learning and interacting with legendary gurus and some of the finest teachers and performers of Indian classical dance. The training is offered in three Indian classical dance styles: Bharatanatyam, Kathak and Odissi at four levels: Masters, Advanced, Intermediate and Beginners.
DANCE-INDIA is aimed at those:
• Who have recently started dance training
• Who wish to refine their dance technique
• Who are considering future careers in dance
• Who are teaching or practicing dance at a professional level
The full day programme consists of four hours of dance session combined with interactive music sessions. During the week of DANCE-INDIA, there are stunning performances by world-class artists every evening.
The one week programme is suitable from age 16 years onwards and adults of all ages. Accomplished, responsible young learners between the ages of 12-16 may also join DANCE-INDIA on the recommendation of their teachers and on the complete understanding of the youngster’s parent /guardian that Milapfest does not and cannot undertake their special supervision inside or outside of programmed sessions. The admission will be facilitated if a responsible, co-resident adult (including a participant or tutor) takes charge of their conduct, participation and wellbeing for the duration of DANCE-INDIA
