Looking for some dance inspiration over the summer? Liz is hosting an Urban Intensive Day on 6th August, 9.30am until 4pm at the Hereford Sixth Form College. The day includes workshops on litefeet, house and hip hop; 1 workshop is £20, 2 = £30 and all three are £40. The party for 5-10 year olds is from 5pm-6pm and for older children aged 10 up, the party is 6.30pm-7.30pm. DJ Shaun Smith will be leading the party, with all our favourite tunes and a full lighting rig to make the atmosphere extra special. Many of our teachers will be there, leading dances and generally making fun times! Although we don't ...have space for parents to be involved in the disco itself, we will be having a tea/coffee bar with cakes and brownies so please do pop in and enjoy! Children's tickets are £2 in advance and we have a limited number of places available so we encourage you to book as soon as possible! Last Friday was our craziest of the year to date, as we took dancers to perform at two events simultaneously and had our fast and furious Charleston class at the Cheltenham studio along with all our regular classes in the scorching heat!

ITS CHARLESTON NIGHT TONIGHT! Go Charleston crazy with us in our special event Charleston class, tonight from 7.15pm to 8.30pm. Learn all the basic of this energetic dance style from the 1920's accompanied by some cheeky ragtime jazz music and then we'll put the steps together into a short routine to "We Both Reached For The Gun" from the musical "Chicago". You don't need experience to do the class, this is a fun introduction to the Charleston! Class is £9 and you can pay on the arrival at the studio. Not sure what to wear? Keep it comfortable in sport leggings / shorts etc or feel free to go a little vintage with a bit of fringe! Flat light trainer pumps, ballet, jazz shoes or cabaret shoes would be the ideal foot wear, or go barefeet!

Double Demo Day! This coming Friday we are performing at two events at the same time! Our break team will be performing at St. Johns Primary School Fete at 4.15pm, and at the same time some of our Bishops Cleeve dancers will be dancing at the Gotherington Primary School Fete! We are fingers crossed for dry weather, and stand by for photos from Double Demo Day!

We are helping our local Scout Group with their fundraising for Focus at Cheltenham Oncology Unit by drinking ""Agua Fresca", Rubicon's newest Street Drink! On sale at the studio, this refreshing drink is a mix of watermelon, mint and lime flavours and we have it on good authority that it's great with gin!! Try it out for 40p can or £4 per case and help us raise as much money as possible for this amazing Cheltenham charity.

Get your flapper on at our Charleston Class for adults on Friday 28th June! No experience is required, we will teach you all the basics of the 1920's Charleston and build them into an energetic, frivolous dance routine! Class is 7.15pm- 8.30pm; pre-pay for your place in the Danceworks shop to get the class for £8, book on the night for £9. Chat to us via facebook if you have any questions at all! We recommend dancing in flats, eg jazz, ballet shoes etc or very light weight pumps, feel free to style yourself a little bit flapper! We couldn't believe that the rain held off for a whole day last Sunday for the Bishops Cleeve Street Fair where we performed with over 50 dancers to record sized crowds!! Our tombola stall raised over £124 for the street fair charity projects thanks to your donations and hard work from Lesley, Christine and John! Our very own DJ Shaun Smith provided amazing sound and extra party mixes in the break between our performances!! A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who came to watch and support!
