About Danethorpe Hill Cross Country Course
Cross Country Course, Schooling and Livery Centre located close to Newark, Nottinghamshire.
Danethorpe Hill Cross Country Course Description
Danethorpe Hill is a small hamlet nestled in a secluded area two miles north of Newark-on-Trent in Nottinghamshire, close to the Lincolnshire border. Danethorpe Hill Farm is the working farm of Clive and Sharon Applewhite. The initial incentive to build a good quality and varied BE-standard XC schooling course came when their daughters, Holly and Harriet, were training for FEI pony trials. Sharon also runs a busy DIY Livery yard alongside the XC course and Holly works with horses as an Equine vet for Tower Equine, Lincolnshire.
Our beautifully designed cross-country course extends over 70 acres, across three huge undulating fields, an idyllic setting for visitors wishing to train or compete. It offers a wide variety of obstacles for all levels, with both permanent and portable fences, and two water complexes.
Our course is rated 4. 9 out of 5 on Facebook and we’re delighted by the feedback we’ve received from clients.
We also have a large, all-weather floodlit manège for our clients to use at no extra cost. Our yard offers plenty of free parking for horse-boxes and trailers, and wash-down facilities for horses.
