Danielle Cole, Therapeutic Counsellor Description

Are you feeling down, worried, anxious, confused? Do you feel the need to talk to somebody who isn’t going to judge you or make you feel as though your problems are too big or insignificant? Could talking to somebody impartial help you see more clearly what you feel your next move is? Is life just too much, too busy, too crowded, are you heard? I can help. I am a qualified Counsellor. I have worked with many different clients with many different needs. I have experienced many clients suffering from an array of problems, children and young people suffering from bullying, family disputes, exam pressure, social anxiety to adults suffering from depression, anxiety, relationship break downs, emotional & physical abuse to name a few. I have had much success with my clients and strive to continue to do so. I have experience working with parents in a Children Centre. I have experience working in secondary schools with children aged 11-19. I currently work in a special needs school with pupils aged 11-19. I also currently work with Mental Health issues at MIND, a Domestic Abuse Centre and a Rape & Crisis Centre. My qualifications and continued professional development training are listed below.

Before entering into the counselling world I worked in various different office, sales and mortgage roles. I have travelled, lived and worked in Australia and New Zealand. I am a likable person, committed to the well being of my clients. I am a naturally grounded, laid back, non-judgemental person so my progression into the counselling vocation has felt like a natural progression for me.

I am a member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) and I am working towards accreditation. I have regular supervision in accordance to the BACP guidelines and I receive my own personal therapy, all to make sure I offer the best practice to my clients I can

My core orientation is Person Centred however I adapt my skills depending on the needs of my client. Person Centred means the session is all about you, I do not offer advice I merely join you in exploring your feelings, challenging you if need be and offering techniques that may help to make you feel better.

So if you’re feeling like life is getting too much and you need someone to talk to, to help you make sense of your world, what’s going on in your head then please get in touch. I run a highly confidential service. I offer a reduced rate for our initial meeting for you to decide if you feel I am suitable and then we can negotiate from there. Our first meeting will be £15 and then £40 an hour from then onwards. We will negotiate times and length of therapy depending on how you wish.
