Well, after being tempted by a decadent chocolate treat, who would have guessed we'd be singing and dancing as the amazing salted caramel hot chocolate was being created! Just arrived for a short London break, and such a spontaneous moment truly started the trip on a high! Thank you for the fun, laughter and of course, the to die for chocolate heaven!

Well what can I say apart from WOW! Hand on heart the best hot chocolate I have ever had- not just your regular powdered crap mixed with milk a la Starbucks etc. Friendly atmosphere and the man who served us was very lovely answering all our questions, letting my friend and I try some of the chocolates we were thinking of buying and obviously the hot chocolate! Not a cheap shop but to be honest the products are not run of the mill chocolate and would be more of a “treat”/gift etc. Definitely worth visiting and can see why it is #1 on Timeout Magazine hot chocolates in London. Will be going back for sure! 💜🤩

We had booked to stay on brick lane for a break an 4 days before coming to London Dark sugars appeared on my news feed. We had possibly the best ever hot chocolate here and sampled some of the sweet treats. If your thinking about going there may be a queue but think about it why is there a queue it's simple everything dark sugar do is perfection care quality and enthusiasm is in everything they make. 5 stars isn't enough.

Visited the shop today with my friends Nickie and Viv. It was great the variety of chocolates are amazing, service was excellent, picked one of everything. delicious. Will be visiting there again very soon.

Visited in November 2017 when we were staying around Brick Lane. Beautiful hot chocolate, sumptuous truffles and chocs to take away, plus some awesome natural tables to sit, relax and watch the hectic world go by outside. Great friendly service too. Will definitely visit again when we’re around. �

Unfortunately we chose to visit yesterday in a rare day of sunshine. Subsequently the chocolate we had carefully chosen from a extensive range ended up largely melted but still � delicious. Perhaps I should have opted for the boxes... Always a next time I guess or the online shop service. Friendly staff demeanour and a very pleasant guy. Clearly he enjoys his job which let's all agree here must be the best job in the world..

Oh, my goodness. Popped in yesterday and just bought a few random chocolates as my husband was waiting in the car.

I'm so glad I did. My favorite without a doubt was the praline pearls. I've just read your description and it's just spot on! Although your consume within 7-10 days isn't very accurate. More like 7-10 minutes. So amazing.It was funny as I had the little bag on my dashboard and the gentleman in the shop had offered to seal it for me but I felt it wouldn't be worth it as they wouldn't be around for long. Well, the pearl rolled out and nearly fell to the floor. Thankfully, I saved it from a fate worse than death from being squashed under my pedals and popped the whole thing in my mouth. Well, I shan't tell you what the noises I was making sounded like but I'm sure you can imagine! Will definitely be back if passing, I'm in Suffolk so not often but my husband runs a courier business so if he's about, I'll get him to come in and get me some. Might even order some for delivery after Christmas but must be after the kids have gone back to school! I'm not sharing! Anyway sorry for the long rambling message. Have a great Christmas. Thank you

Love this chocolate shop!! Great atmosphere and helpful staff, I’d recommend going mid week so you can have a seat and relax. The hot chocolate is amazing!! Next time I’m there I’m going to definitely try the truffles :)

I bought a selection of truffles for my husband for valentine's day. The chilli ones were delicious and packed a punch, I really enjoyed the rose truffles so fragrant and smooth, but OH OH OH the ginger truffles, absolutely to die for!

Will be ordering a job lot of those next time. Beautifully packaged, such a treat, will definitely be back for more x

Had the most amazing hot chocolate and Irish cream chocolate cup from here yesterday. We stumbled upon the place by accident but my friend recognised the name. The shop smelt amazing and the staff were lovely.

Dark Sugars is simply wonderful. This is chocolate on a whole different level and the range is amazing. Taylor was very helpful, polite and full of manners and gave my friends and I some samples to taste. We will definitely be back!

Couldn’t turn down a visit after a long street art stroll on a chilly day. Our guide said it was amazing hot chocolate & he was right! The cup was choc full of a generous portion of white, milk & dark shavings (salted caramel hot choc) not overly sweet which was good for my tastes. My Partner also purchased some chocolates which were lovely. A delightful smiling gentleman came past the beautiful burl table we were at to say ‘hi’ & ask if we liked everything. It was great & we’ll totally return on our next trip to England.

BEST hot chocolate I've ever had. A few years ago now but an experience I'll always remember. I met one half of the team at the time, the other was away on business and I fell in love with the story and motivations. Five star.

We had the salted caramel with shaved milk and white chocolate on top. The hot chocolate tasted amazing but it did not taste at all like salted caramel-we thought the caramel was stuck to bottom of cup. Sadly, even after a few stirs, still no caramel taste.

Fun place to visit on Brick Lane but staff can be a bit abrupt at times. I am not a big fan of their chocolates - I think the quality of chocolate used is poor compared to other chocolate shops in London and the chocolates are overpriced - however the hot chocolates with shaved chocolate on top are great.
