Darracotte'S Coffee Shop & Icecream Parlour

Had a lovely hot drink and a delicious cake here today. We were greeted and served by friendly staff. Looking forward to our next visit.

A very enjoyable experience. And the lady at the till was the most wonderful and helpful person you could wish to meet.

Excellent service today. Coffee and cake was really nice. Had a young chap who was training and he did great. First time someone has come to move the plates when your cake has finished rather than waiting till the end and your stuck with plates.

Had 3 ice cream sundaes and they were fab ! Very clean place , beautiful views of the beach .

Disappointing. Daft idea of filling in a form to order your ice cream. Que to hand it in. Wait for it. All this when three staff are stood chatting and heard saying "I'm bored " Really??
And the wait- and form filling wasnt worth it. The ice cream - tried three different flavours was basically bland. For the expensive prices they charge I was expecting a whole lot better.
There is a far superior ice cream parlour just a little further up the road.

4 adults and 3 children, food arrived at different times, my mother received her jacket potato first, 20 minutes later the final sandwich arrived by which time my mother had finished, they messed the order up and over charged us, and the prices for the sandwiches is an absolute rip off, and speaking of the sandwiches, the triple decker BLT had no butter, one half of a tomato in it, three bits of bacon and a bit of salad, no mayo in it and it was on soggy bread, and they wanted £5 for it, hence to say I took it straight back and demanded a refund!!
I will never return here and will not recommend it to any of my family and friends, I will go next door to Papas every time !

Lovely cafe right on seafront with beautiful views out to sea. Had a cheese salad which was great. My friend enjoyed his bacon sandwich. Polite and friendly staff.

Nice tasting ice cream. No more expensive than any other ice cream parlour.

Different way of ordering though. You fill out a sheet with your selections and hand it over and pay at the same time. Accepts cards and contactless payment.

Only downside is they don't do Takeaway. So you can't take your ice-cream and go for a walk.

Would have given 0 stars if possible. The cook didn't know the difference between a medium rare and a rare steak. Also, we asked for a burger with no salad and guess what? It came with the salad inside. We were supposed to get steak cut chips and we got oven cooked chips. The mushy peas were most definitely canned and thrown in the plate. For 8.5 to 10.5 pounds per portions, it was an awful experience. Asked for a toothpick and someone had to go in the back to bring a hand of toothpicks tied with a rubber band, took 2 out politely however I obviously threw them away. Staff was not professional at all, left without saying thank you. The view is great, so many good things could be done with this place, however it offers the worst experience ever!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!!!

The restaurant was lovely. The food was really nice. We came from Doncaster with elderly residents with dementia for a day out. The chef came out and asked if we was enjoying our meals and if there was any problems. We all said no and that the food was lovely. What we didn't appreciate was a staff member called Beatrice having a go at the chef for coming out of the kitchen to ask if our meals was ok. There will be a formal complaint going in.

Foods shocking,chickens hard and dry,lasagne was cold was sent back 3 times

Couldn't even book a table! Person answered the phone said 'no english', then passed on to someone else. I asked if I could book a table and got the reply 'no, no restaurant closed now' and put the phone down on me!
