ONLINEDATEAGLE ART is an online platform based in London that showcases and supports the work of emerging artists. Our in-depth interviews and on-site studio visits offer an intimate look at the talent and creativity of the next generation of artists who deserve recognition and celebration. Founded in 2017 by curators Martin Mayorga and Vanessa Murrell, and led by Murrell since 2022, DATEAGLE ART is committed to promoting accessibility, diversity, and transparency. Our content is ad-free and gender-neutral, and we celebrate a wide range of artistic expression, rejecting fixed categories and supporting a diverse group of artists working in various mediums including painting, photography, performance, sculpture, and more. In our safe and inclusive community, we foster critical dialogue and innovation, providing a platform for artists, curators, and writers to share their perspectives and collaborate, especially those who may not have had the opportunity to do so in the past. Our focus on analogue photography resists the rapid, instant gratification of digital media, instead honouring the slower, more thoughtful process of image-making. These 35mm images document our weekly studio visits with local artists, offering a raw and unedited glimpse into their creative process. This stands in contrast to the polished, globalized, and over-curated representation of art that is often found in mainstream media. OFFLINEOffline, we have been actively involved in curating nomadic exhibitions and events in various locations throughout the UK. These have taken place in a range of spaces, including domestic, industrial, and gallery spaces. Each exhibition is site-specific and features works that engage with and enhance the character of the space.
