A fantastic place to eat. I cycled from Liskeard to Looe and I came across this diner, the staff were wonderful and friendly, the food fantastic. I was so overwhelmed that I left my cycle helmet behind and had to ride back to collect it. I would greatly recommend this place to anyone.
A must for fish and chips when in Looe been going since i was a child I am now 35 and every time i have gone to Looe this is were I eat because the fish is the best I have had anywhere in the country light and fresh and so so tasty.
Great gem. Fresh seafood served by friendly staff. Cooked to order. The restaurant itself reminds of a boat with varnished wood everywhere but also a little 50's diner. Established 1950. Last refurb about 1980? Superb.
Wonderful place in the centre of Looe.. fresh fish beautifully cooked, quirky decor & friendly staff. Highly recommend!!
Sorry Dave dinner but I visit looe every year and order a cod from you . Well when I visited last weekend I ordered cod take away it was awful.. Do hope it was a one off.. But sorry won't be coming in for one again .. I had to put it in the bin , I don't like wasting food ..
Firm holiday favourite over the many years of visiting Looe, have now relocated here and this place is our go to place when we fancy fish and chips and decent pot of Cornish tea plus we eat in so the bonus of no washing up either. Staff are always lovely! Food always cooked fresh to order. Our only gripe is we wish there were bottles of tomato sauce in the table rather than the sachets! Great varied menu, good prices and always something on the children's menu our boy will eat!
I must admit, i have walked past Dave's Diner on a few occasions and dismissed it out of visual snobbery. It looks a little run down and dare I say it, a bit out of place, but don't let appearances put you off. This little gem of a restaurant/ takeaway turns out some top quality grub. The chips are just incredible, crunchy yet fluffy inside, hot and incredibly tasty. Crunchy batter surrounds the fish which is locally sourced. Price wise it's about the same as others in the area. Well worth trying.

Friendly, welcoming staff serving very good food. The diner provides a comfortable and very casual atmosphere which surpasses what one might expect from the name. I ate at Dave's twice during my stay in Looe and enjoyed both visits. Recommended.
Great food. All freshly cooked and nice big portions. Friendly staff. Love Dave's Diner and have been to it many times when we are here on holiday over the years. Recommended
