Music that defined a generation,... Children of the night, rebirth nation. Glowsticks, muddy fields and tents Dance 'til dawn, this is what it meant.
Bucket hats and chemical coats, Synths and drums and 4/4 notes. Acid House, hands in the air, Strobes and lasers everywhere.
An empty warehouse, a farmer's field, Ravers waiting 'til the rave's revealed. Convoys driving throught the night, Excitement builds as they see the lights.
Dancers, DJs, entertainers, Baggy t-shirts and Adidas trainers. Smiley tops and smiley faces, Dressed to dance in chemical places.
Mesmerised by pounding tunes, Caught in an Acid House cocoon. A musical spell, there's no resisting, Hypnotic beats dance from the sound system.
Euphoria builds, temperatures rise, Lasers pierce the cool night skies. Piano riffs, hi-hats and drums, Slaves to the music we become.
Speakers, bass bins, a generator, Human Resource, Dominator. Distorted smiles and chemical faces, A raving journey to faraway places.
In '94 the government meets, Banned events with repetitive beats. "Fuck the system" was the word, Go underground, go undeterred.

The first part of my art exhibition, 'The History Of House', launches on May 26th at Barca Art Bar, Tynemouth. The exhibition is touring the UK and finishing up in Ibiza. For each leg of the exhibition, I am doing 2 extra paintings. One will be auctioned on the day and the other will be raffled with all proceeds going to charity. The raffle means that those of you who can't make the exhibition can still buy tickets to raise money for charity. My target is £1,000. Please share... this post.
I would like to announce that the two charities who will receive a 50/50 share of the money raised are The Frankie Sherwood Retreat and The Bradley Lowery Foundation. Two wonderful little boys who touched the hearts of many people.
