Tonight we had a meze dinner. I made the pita breads from scratch (they are really fun to do - they puff up ridiculously!) with home made babaganoush, homemade sweet chilli sauce and fried halloumi. We also finished off some cold roast chicken with it all. @ David Kellett

I wanted to let those of you who follow this page know what I’m doing with regard to the Pandemic. It’s obviously a challenging time for us all. At the moment (17th March 2020) I’m still seeing patients at both of the practices (Hitchin and Northwood) - this will only change if it absolutely has to. If you are in a vulnerable group you will need to consider that while I’m doing my best it can’t be guaranteed that infection won’t happen if you have any contact with the outside... world including me. I ask that if you or anyone you live with has symptoms of a cold / flu / cough / raised temperature or any of the other Government listed symptoms then to please not come to the practices. But please telephone the receptionists to let us know. Likewise if you or anyone you live with has travelled abroad in the last 14 days please don’t visit the practices and again please let the receptionists know.
I want you all too know that I am still here and happy to help you as best I can. So if you can’t come for the reasons above, or any other reason, please know that I’m setting up to do telephone / Skype sessions. These will be up to 40 minutes long. I will be able to take a case history of what is happening for you and from that be able to work out such things as what sort of movement / exercise to do and what to avoid for the moment - it’s really going to be everything I usually do at a normal appointment - except the physical touch of treatment! I will be charging £25 for a telephone / Skype session. If you phone my receptionists and leave your number I will call back to arrange a time for a telephone / Skype session. You can also message me via Facebook messenger - but if you haven’t heard back after a reasonable interval - assume that the message didn’t get to me and phone the receptionists (or text me if you have my mobile number). Messenger is not totally reliable!

Osteopathy is a wonderful way of working with health in the human system. When I’m working with someone I’m always looking for the way that we can release the natural healthy intelligence in the body so that it can manifest and “push” the dis-ease or disfunction out of the system. Mostly what that means is finding the blocks in the body that are preventing the system from communicating with its self - tensions that interfere with the free flow of information in the nervous sy...stem, blood and other fluids of the body. When you release these tensions in the body, the biological mechanism of homeostasis (which keeps all our internal physiological processes in balance) can work with better information, then the innate Health in the system can come through.
I work with a very gentle approach that is suitable for the whole range of humanity - from the very young to the very old.
