I was really pleased with the work recently carried out on my car. It sadly got hit by someone trying to park! Happy to say it is now restored beautifully to it's former glory.

Fantastic service, got me out of a jam with very little effort.
Having worked in the motor trade for 20 years I have plenty of experience of working at big main dealers, David May Garage are excellent and have customer service that would make many main dealers blush.
Would highly recommend.

I've visited David May on several occasions before, and every time I've had to return because the work hasn't be carried out correctly or work simply hasn't been done. The last and final straw was after getting the car back from having the brake pads and rotors replaced, I was losing brake fluid, I took it back to get it investigated only to be told the slave cylinder in the clutch was leaking, and a new clutch was recommended at a cost of some £500 pounds, I politely declined.

I took the car to another garage in the course of getting wheel alignment carried out and without even prompting the technician he came back and said "I noticed you were dripping brake fluid from the rear line, I've tightened up the joint", and that put an end to the problem.

So either the mechanics at DM were incompetent in finding the fault, which the tyre technician found immediately , or they were purposely trying to deceive me and create fictitious work.

Either way I'm sorry to say with this I won't be using their services again.

when my windscreen wipers stopped working in quite heavy rain I was dropped here by the AA though I live in looe an hour away I had to stop in ivybridge due to picking my husband up who had been sedated at the local dentist . The lady in here was helpful and assisted me well and said that the mechanic would look at the car ... in which he did so .. she then came to me and said that nothing could be done that day becouse they had to order a part [linkage] which would be here the next day.. and said to me what would I like to do ... I felt very stuck so agreed to the work . she did take me to fetch my husband from the dentist which was only two minutes away. iv now had to ring my daughter to pick us up we didn't want to wait for over an hour in the garage so we took a ten minute walk to the garden centre .. its now stopped raining and we had a think about the work which was they said was gonna be £345.. so when my daughter arrived she took us back to the garage .. we said that wed changed our minds and we would take the car home ..they charged us £29 for a cancelation fee and £30 for the time of the mechanic..thats fair enough.. but how is it that when we got the car back to our local garage in plynt nr looe yes the linkage had gone they said but can fix it temporary.. which was all we needed to get us home . .it was fixed in 35 minutes and cost £40!!!!
