What a superb venue! We saw a James Bay last night, absolutely amazing gig. Easy parking, easy booking process and a beautiful building, thank you x

Went to see beauty and the beast with my daughter and grandson and I must say it was absolutely brilliant! The staff at De Montfort were very friendly and welcoming. The pantomime itself was fantastically funny, Sam Bailey was just AMAZING, what a voice! Dick (bogeys) was ace as were the rest of the cast. I would go back again and again to watch this! Thankyou

Went to see Gary barlow and he was fab as always but What great hosts, staff were polite and made our days experience before the concert a real pleasure. Many venues could take a leaf out of your book

I was visiting the De Montfort Hall with Whitney Queen of the Night on 29th September. I am the percussionist on the show. The back stage area has to be one of, if not, the smartest I have come across. The hand painted signs in a traditional font were lovely. Very smart clean and fresh dressing rooms and decent shower that worked! Well done to all of the hard working and friendly staff too. I gab a great night! Hope to see you all again soon.

I have just been to the relaxed performance of sleeping beauty, cannot thank the cast for a wonderful performance and to all the staff thank you, your kindness and helpfulness during the afternoon was amazing, you had thought of everything to make this performance so special. Sandra Coombe

Have no fault with De Montfort Hall, venue is very clean, staff are very efficient & organised. They greet you with a smile and are happy to help. Me and my partner were recently there to see Jimmy Carr, had an amazing time. With the recent events, obviously that took extra precautions in security, which I was very impressed with, all the staff and security were very vigilante which left us to go on and enjoy our evening. Thank you to everyone working there :)

Have been several times before and came this evening to see Gary Barlow. Was particularly impressed with stewards handling a difficult situation when a gentleman behind us became irate when our entire row stood to dance (along with most of the audience!). He seemed to believe that if one person sat, the rest would follow suit. I appreciate not everyone wants to stand but there are certain events when this is inevitable and to be expected - and if he were familiar with Gary’s performances he’d know this would be the case as the audience is encouraged to. Thankfully alternative seats were offered and taken, thank you to the staff for their efficiency in handling the situation. We had a amazing time!

Fab venue. Easy to access from surrounding areas, plenty of parking close by too.

Cannot speak highly enough about the staff, came to see Gary Barlow, had a ticket for standing but had badly damaged tendons and ligaments in my ankle 2 weeks before the gig. Was contacted by Rachel from De montfort in Twitter after she'd seen a tweet I'd posted. Within a day she had spoken to the relevant people and messaged to let me know that they had seat I would be able to enjoy the show from. On the day everything from arriving to leaving was just so lovely.... the que was organised well, the venue had opened doors to allow those queuing early to access toilets and the bar area which was serving hot drinks at a very reasonable price. The staff were amazing.. just the right amount of fun and banter whilst remaining very professional.

Would highly recommend this lovely venue to anyone coming to future events. 5* from start to finish.

Amazing customer service! I was having problems ordering from the US on Ticketmaster so I contacted the theater through email. They reserved two seats for me and my husband. We landed in the UK today and the tickets were waiting for us! Thanks so much!

User

Always love coming to the panto. A shame Sam Bailey wasn't there and they wern't allowed to use the yellow dress but we all had a great time, as always.

User

Always love anything at DMH it’s a fabulous venue and anything from plays, to stand up, to concerts is always fab here. This review however is for how amazingly helpful and kind they were in light of the weather we could not make the performance of the nutcracker last night, I was so disappointed as it was for my 3 grandparents Christmas presents , spoke to Jason at the box office who immediately offered us tickets free of charge to swan lake tonight. In the interval it is beautiful and we are very happy to be here. Thank you Jason, Emma who spoke to me over Facebook and DMH!

Always a great night. Great venue. Staff fantastic and everyone enjoys it. I would love a 2 story bar and restaurant where the bar exists now just to add to the experience....well done everyone

Went to see Squeeze 14th Oct 2017, Can't fault De Montfort Hall venue and parking. However, whether it was to do with our seat position(lower stalls L29/30), the volume was unbearably loud, making it uncomfortable even with fingers in ears! not helped by inconsiderate guy behind us whistling in my ear and yelling throughout their performance. We did ask to be moved after the support act '9 below zero' and fortunately they were able to move us to the Upper circle where the view was ok but not what we paid for! Even in these seats the volume was tolerable but very distorted, the singing was overwhelmed by the instruments playing. Maybe the sound guys who support these acts should take a little more care to make it pleasurable for all.

p.s. can't fault either act's or De Montfort as a venue.

User

Never had to complain before ! Weather has been really hot and I totally understand sometimes things stop working ! Went to show last nite Nazaar ka Samne !

It was really uncomfortable I dont think AC was working!!

User

Visited for a comedy show. First half I found the seats incredibly uncomfortable and the temperature was ridiculously hot. In an attempt to feel more comfortable before the second half, I moved into one of the roughly 100+ empty seats, only to be told that they were 'house seats' and I couldn't sit there in case the management needed to move anyone (100+seats, really!?) The seat I'd moved to was three along from my original seat, not in a different area ie more expensive seats. Being so uncomfortable all evening for no reason spoiled the whole show for me and I'd think about alternative theatres for future events.

User

Trying to watch a fantastic show, Awful Auntie all I can hear is rustling of sweet wrappers, smell cheese and chive crisps, crushing of drinks cans, struggling to hear show. Please stop food in the auditorium it is not fair and distracting.

User

Waited all week to phone the box office today for the 10am sale for Gary Barlow tickets only to find the booking office had no queue system or voicemail to navigate me through their ticket system. I dialled 72 times only to be cut off each time after a few seconds. Absolutely unacceptable. No tickets remaining anywhere today but I would have thought for local fans ( Northamptonshire) this booking office line would put genuine fans first and not ticket touts , when is the mass buying by ticket touts going to stop, it’s so unfair they resell them at anything from three to 19 times times the original cost. I am truly gutted yet again.
