What a wonderful weekend we have had for our 24th wedding anniversary. Got up graded to a fabulous suite which was a lovely touch. Everything we could ask for and we met a lovely couple Stacey and Nathan from Cardiff In the afternoon and had drinks on the veranda overlooking the lake. Beautiful meal in the restaurant in the evening and then a lovely walk afterwards. Will definitely we coming back. Only downside was you could only now use the spa at certain times unless you paid £15 each to go core hours which was not advertised when booking. In 2015 you could use the spa any time.

We have just returned from our wonderful weekend at Dr Vera which I had booked as a surprise for my Husband's Birthday .

Upon arrival we had a note to welcome us and a cake wishing my husband a happy Birthday , such a lovely touch!! Our room overlooking the lake was stunning , clean and well presented . Every meal delicious.

All the staff could not do enough to make sure our stay was as enjoyable as possible. We took advantage of the dry weather and walked one of the scenic routes surrounding the lakes then relaxed in the hotels hydro pool and sauna ... Just perfect �

We are currently staying at the hotel and are very happy with our experience so far. The hotel & deluxe room is everything we hoped for and more - the staff are friendly and efficient. The room is impressive - stunning view over the lake and the food (although on the more expensive side) is lovely.



Only disappointment is the availability of the pool - hotel guests can only use it between 7.30am - 9.30am and 5pm - 9pm.......... if you want to use it in between these times you have to pay £15 each. I don’t remember seeing that when I booked.



If u book in for a spa treatment you get to use it free.



That said we will definitely be booking a return visit.

The hotel & deluxe room is everything we hoped for and more - all the staff are friendly and efficient though I have to call out especially the consiergue Andrew who went well above to make our trip fantastic. The room was impressive - stunning view over the lake. I ate in the Brasserie and was expecting expensive but the meal was fabulous and very very reasonable. Being able to sit outside afterwards at the lake was such a chill out factor.

I can’t believe people have rated this anything other then 5*! The hotel, the grounds and the rooms are absolutely beautiful. I booked one night here for me and my partner as a surprise for his birthday. I emailed the hotel asking if I could pay to upgrade last minute as it was his birthday.. not expecting to be given a complimentary upgrade to a beautiful room on the ground floor over the lake with a balcony! when we arrived the check in staff were so helpful and kind, told us all lots of information then when we arrived in our room they had given us a beautiful little dessert with “happy birthday” written in chocolate on the plate! such a thoughtful gesture. we also ate at the old boathouse where the food was lovely! Thankyou for making our stay so enjoyable and lovely!

initially I was not happy. there was a refurb going on and our room was not great. so why a 4star rating?. they changed the room, the noise from the refurb died away and the grounds are fantastic. staff all very friendly and helpful. sometimes it's the way a place turns things around that is important and this was done with aplomb. Jake, who dealt with this also really helpful and friendly. I've removed my original review from trip advisor as it would not let me add another or edit. all's well that ends well. so am now happy and enjoying the place.

We've just come back from a weekend away here for our baby moon and can honestly say we enjoyed our stay. It's very modern, clean and friendly and in such a great location. Easy access to plenty of locations offering lots to do. We also booked into the Spa and had treatments which were great. Slightly over priced for what you get but we still enjoyed it. The beds were comfy and the food was lovely. Breakfast service ran slightly slow when asking for tea and coffee and we thought the bar prices for drinks were slightly expensive but this didn't effect our stay. Highly recommend and would go back.

We stayed for one night and had a lovely time...our room was very clean and the view from our balcony was just fab... the Spa was nice, but the times for the use of the pool was limited which was a shame... however the breakfast was very nice, as was the lounge bar, reception staff and polite cleaning staff... we ate in the Boathouse which to be honest was a bit pricey with a basic menu and the food came out luke warm... It was busy so put it down to that...would probably drive into Cirencester to eat if I came again though .

Nice hotel and beautiful views of the lakes.

Felt the hotel is let down by the restaurant. It isn’t nearly the same standard as the hotel and the food is over priced for what you get.

Our room was also way too hot at night, the radiator left on full blast all night with no way of turning it down.

The hotel itself, grounds and reception however were all lovely
