We stayed Sunday to Monday , (travelzoo deal) there is car park ( the web site stated the incorrect parking price , it is £10 which is a fare price for middle of London ). The staff greeting us were very friendly had every thing ready for us , each time walked past reception was greeted with hello and smiles . This was same from all the staff we came in contact with , Our room was 106 on 1 st floor , lifts and stairs. The room was clean nice size had fan , iron ironing board hair dryer tea ( herbal green and breakfast ) coffee . A red bottle of wine , which was very nice too , The bathroom was nice clean no complaints there either , out of the window you over look a small grave yard , the importance of which is explained in the hotels history posted in the lifts . Dinner was set we had French onion soup , chicken with mushroom sauce and veg , fruit trifle and also earl grey panna cotta , all very pleasant indeed . Breakfast was a Buffett usual hotel style , but no sausages . All in all fantastic location right in the middle of every attraction in Greenwich less than 2 min walk to any of them . Thank you for a lovely stay will be back again definitely.
We got married on Saturday - Ruta and her team did everything they could to make sure our day was special. We had a perfect day and a big thank you to all the staff. Food was excellent and the whole day couldn't of gone any better. Thanks again!
Stayed here with partner for Valentine's day treat. Lovely room if a little noisy in the morning. Breakfast was perfect. 2 guys did a brilliant job keeping everyone happy whilst being rushed off their feet. Only negative was having to pay for car park which wasn't mentioned in booking. £10 per night. Would recommend it for London visit any time.
Stayed here just after Christmas. Nice hotel, in a great location with a fantastic full English breakfast. I plan to stay here again.
My wife and I stayed here with our 5yr old daughter following her first trip to London, the hotel was fantastic the staff were very friendly, welcoming and informative. The breakfast buffet was excellent really sets you up for the day ahead. We previously stayed nearer to the centre but with the Thames Clipper jetty only 5mins walk away we will definitely be staying here on our next visit, near the action but far enough away to be peaceful at the end of the day, thanx.
Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Devonport House for making our special day as memorable as we imagined. From wedding planner keeping us updated & informed no matter what time or day. To catering staff adjusting at a drop of a penny. To the waiters/waitresses helping our needs & the changes due to the weather.
Always professional & helpful & doing everything to make us enjoy the day as much as we did.
Special mentions to Ruta the wedding planner, who provided the calm we needed to Irina & Razvan who catered to all our near impossible demands & carrying them out professionally on the day.
Words can't show our appreciation & gratitude enough. But me & vivien would like to thank you all for the love and support.
With lots of love.
Wai & Vivien
Great place
Fantastic hotel and perfect location to everything, staff very friendly and food very good highly recommend it and will definitely come back
An exceptional hotel. Uniquely sited and a very interesting place to stay. As with all older buildings there is no real consistency of room sizes but each is individual and charming in its own way. Make sure to check out the little cemetery outside where Captain Hardy (Commander of HMS Victory with Nelson at Trafalgar) is buried. The staff are very helpful and they serve a really good breakfast....in all a great place to stay whether you are a visitor to Greenwich or on a business trip
Amazing place ,best food ever , great custmairs service, Only a short walk from Greenwich Mainline Station, exit the station and turn left. Walk down the High Road (past the Cafe Rouge on the right) and bear right at the lights onto Nelson Road. Take the first right up King William Walk
At Greenwich London
Very reasonable price, good service and room was clean and adequate. Went on the hottest night in London’s history, ( well it felt like it anyway) so air conditioning would have made it perfect, besides this we had a lovely stay.
Thanks to the De Vere Devonport staff for a lovely time last weekend. It's in a great location and the staff are friendly and attentive. Special mention of the restaurant. The staff were really friendly and the meal itself was one of the best set menus from hotel I've had in a long time. All in all I recommend the hotel
Second stay here within 6 months. Perfect location in Greenwich, adjacent to the park and the Maritime Museum. Generally excellent but a couple of minor niggles loses it a star but they are minor (old towels and a bed that rolls around the room). I can recommend it here, particularly if you can get a deal.
I recently stayed at the Davenport De Vere hotel and it was a very comfortable stay, easy to reach having travelled from the Midlands to Euston on to Bank via the underground and Greenwich via the DLR a short two minute walk away.... the facilities were exceptional, the staff courteous and very helpful and the room very comfortable and well kept.... the food was excellent and the conference facilities more than adequate .... I will certainly use the Davenport again and whole heartedly recommend it .....
Great little hotel, fab staff, bad management. Shame to see a place that I have enjoyed so much let down by stupid management decisions. Hopefully De Vere will sort it out, but they have had time enough. Still, an excellent building full of history ❤️
Good position hotel, good value, great breakfast, rooms ok bathroom a little tired, wifi not particularly fast, having said that we would have no hesitation booking here again.
Good hotel with a excellent location in Greenwich, super close to everything! Comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was a little disappointing, no fresh pastries and no artisan bread for continental breakfast. Full English was of good quality though.
Excellent location friendly staff
In need of a make over a bit old & dull
We had the inclusive room & dinner food very basic all out of packets fine on microwave very poor/basic
Improve decor & food & it could be excellent!
Overall good value but next time will avoid restaurant for dinner
Start on arrival to find they do not accommodate for young children restaurant does open until 7pm & the bar is grab a table if you can with no children's menu.
We were not happy grand parents until we bumped into the manager Kevin who asked if we needed any help with anything so we expressed our disappointment he went straight into action.
Kevin he is a credit to the hotel. Arranged food for our two grandchildren aged two, sorted a table for us before the hotel restaurant opened even when he was off duty. Met us there to be sure everything was sorted & produced story book for the children to keep them amused. Cannot fault him & the service he gave us.
The room was satisfactory though could be improved with simple things curtains repair to fit rails hanging off both ends on both windows.
