A brief history of Dearne Valley Welsh Cobs

Mr Graham Schofield purchased his first Welsh Cob from his long time friend Mr Nelson Smith in approximately 1974. Trevallion Jolly Boy was a dun colt out of Parc Ormond Jolly the 2nd by Llanarth Braint.

Mr Graham Schofield then brought Trevallion Telynor in to Yorkshire who won countless North of England premiums. It was Trevallion Telynor that stirred Mr Graham Schofield's passion for showing.

Upon visiting Mr Nelson Smith one day, a dun colt foal caught Mr Graham Schofield's eye despite duns not being considered fashionable at the time. The dun colt was due to be entered in to the Llanarth sales, where his confirmation and presence shone through, providing an unforgettable performance.

This was the one and only Trevallion Flash Jack who Mr Graham Schofield and Dearne Valley Welsh Cobs owe so much to.
