Woah. Been coeliac for 3 years now and miss F&Chips. Salvation. Debbie was fantastic and served f& chips with total understanding and delicious to boot. If the waistline allowed it'll be tea everynight. Thank you

We often stay in Gainford visiting family and at the beginning of December ordered 4 chicken parmos. There was a little wait, but it was a Friday night and they were so busy. Food was lovely, went down a treat. Really friendly welcome and will definately go back once we are back in the area.

The business! Came a long way to Debbie's and it was worthwhile. Great old fashioned cod, chips and mushy peas, with quantity way beyond expectations. Just go there - you will not be disappointed.

The Chicken Parmo was sensational, served with generous salads and the best chips for miles around-seriously. Great Fish too. The service was quick and efficient, the staff friendly and welcoming. We could see that great care was taken to ensure cleanliness and hygiene. This makes a real difference. We can`t wait to go back and try the Pizzas and everything else. Definitely worth driving a few miles for and we`re jealous of the people of Gainford having such a great place in their village. We would highly recommend this place. See you soon!!

Stopped by today when passing, had the Fish and Chips and i must say they were absolutely gorgeous, it was all cooked fresh as well which was good. Will stop by again next time I am passing for sure.

I had the scampi meal deal on Saturday night. It was absolutely delicious. and cooked to perfection. Fantastic value and loads of scampi, chips, coleslaw and salad. I will definitely get it again and again :)

Excellent fish and chips freshly cooked - and a lovely chat while you wait!

Called in for a wonderful fish supper, always excellent. Whilst waiting for it to be freshly cooked I was lucky enough to sample the Mediterranean roast vegetables for tomorrow's pizza night. Wow, amazing flavours can't wait to try the whole pizza next. Well worth a visit

Best fish & chips in the North East, as good as, if not better than Whitby. Well worth the money and travel to get them

Best Chicken Parmo ever! Always excellent quality food served by friendly staff, well worth a visit if you are in the area. Safe parking around the back of the shop.

She made gluten free fish for my daughter and took the utmost care to avoid cross contamination. We've all wolfed them down after a lovely day at Walworth Birds of Prey Centre.

As I was losing at Monopoly, I asked the wife if she was hungry, was recommended this place from the owners of the campsite we’re on. So bombed down before they closed. The ladies were so happy to serve us so close I closing. Ordered Haddock & Chips with Curry Sauce for the wife. She said the fish was fresh and batter crunchy and chips were spot on. I was recommended they do a mean Chicken Parmo and as I’ve never had one now was my chance. It was delicious, it came with chips coleslaw & salad and chicken was crispy & cheesy it was a savoury delight. Thank you ladies x

After a unorganised camping trip to a near site last night and a need for food we decided to try here as we had drove past earlier. The staff were absolutely brilliant and couldn't have been anymore helpful. To add to the great customer service it was the best fish and chips we'd ever had ! Made even better watching it all cooked from fresh in front of you. Gorgeous little fish shop and we'll be going camping again just to be able to return to this fish shop.
