Deep Blue Maidstone - Union Street

Went there tonight 7pm no one in the place ordered a take a way misses said the pies and sausage in batter was chewy I had the cod. Fish was nice cooked fresh but stingy on the chips I would go back but not to sure the misses would ......

This is a no frills, tired establishment with drab interior that hasn't seen a paint brush in years. Tired old heaters belt out their blankets of warm air whilst making a racket. If you are of a seasoned age you may find the climb to the toilets rather daunting. There seems to be some 'friction' between the staff as I was witness to an argument behind the serving counter that I felt was entirely inappropriate.

As for the food I believe it to be a below average fish and chip shop and I would not rush back.

Good food. They do 10% discount for nhs staff.

Great chippy, nice as a restaurant as well.
