Me and my partner came here last night. The pub was very quiet but we really liked that. We got some drinks and sat in the restaurant area. My partner elected to go with the gammon and I had the steak.

The barmaid/waitress came over and said there would be a wait for food which to us wasn’t a problem. Let me tell you it was well worth the wait. The steak was cooked perfectly for me and the portion sizes whilst not excessive were just enough to fill.

We decided to have a dessert, we chose the chocolate brownie and it was sensational! My partner described it as “the best brownie she’s ever had”

We will most certainly come back again soon

Food was okay but nothing worth the money, Sunday lunch veg was cold and not much chose, carrots looks like a 5yr old have cut them up, cauliflower cheese clearly hadn't seen any cheese!! Cheap processed sausages.Waitress where more interested in talking to each other about their 'messy night' instead of serving customer. Given a menu but no one came back to take order.

Knights Hill 2minutes up the road far better!!!!

Walked in to a near empty pub for Sunday lunch , was served a very small portion of meat we got the end piece so my turkey had a chunk of fat on it !! ? The carrots , beans & leeks were ok . The roast potatos were soggy the sausages were like cardboard . The staff were polite & friendly however the hygiene in the toilets was disgusting - no light in the hall way no toilet roll holders and a filthy seat gross. The door to the kitchen in front of the servery was hybound !! Not worth the money :(

Filthy Dirty Toilets, I didn’t even want to touch the doors into the ladies, yet alone on the way out of them!! Poor selection of Draught lagers, ciders and bottled drinks.

Such a shame as the venue hasn’t improved since we visited about 3 months ago, despite the person in charge saying they were looking to improve standards. Very disappointing for a pub in such a key location.
