Dees Cycles

I have been going to Dees for 5 years and always had an excellent level of service. I have purchased bikes from them and they have also custom built a number of bikes for me over the years. The team at Dees have an excellent knowledge and always go out of their way to help.

Amazing customer service, really helpful. I came in with a broken chain and straight away the guys saw what was wrong with my bike. Left bike with them and halfway the rang me to say that a few more things needing doing and updated me on cost. Left the bike there at 12pm and got it back at 3:30pm! Amazing! Bike rides like a dream!

Excellent Bike shop - friendly and good customer service! Rang the shop direct after seeing a bike I wanted on their website - they were very helpful and answered all my questions. I called in a couple of days later to look in person and again they were great; checked the fitting and noted some key adjustments to make sure the fit was good. They were happy to take a small deposit while I got the balance sorted; prepping and servicing it for collection in a couple of days time. Picking it up was perfect - they had the bike ready to go with all the documentation; advised me to book it back in for a free basic service within 3 months!

The angry little manager of this shop is rude and obnoxious. After occasionally being treated like I was a problem to him instead of someone who wanted to give him money, the final straw was when he fitted a new headset to my bike, but didn't tighten it up properly. I took it back to ask him to tighten it up as I wasn't sure which nut or bolt to tighten myself, but got a load of attitude instead!
All I'd expected was for him to say "Oh, sorry about that, just a sec, I'll soon have it tightened up", then for him to quickly do it, and I'd have been perfectly happy.
Over the years I'd bought 3 bikes there and taken 3 more friends in to buy theirs there too. In the end I said he was on his way to losing a frequent customer, and he said "I don't care, I have other customers", pointing to the other (now embarrassed) customers in the shop!
Is this any way to treat customers? According to other reviews here I'm not the only one to be treated in this way by him.
This was over 10 years ago now and I haven't been back since. There's an excellent local bike shop in St Peter which has given reliable, friendly, excellent service ever since. I strongly suggest you go there.

Bought my mountain bike here 3 years ago & it was reasonably priced compared to the market. Have taken by bike back twice over the years for a 'bronze' service. Am very happy with the customer service and quality of work - bike goes like a dream! Will continue to use.

Went in there on a Saturday morning at the start of my 60 mile loop, with a really badly bent rear hanger!!
I was told no prob, go and have a coffee and come back in 15 mins
And hey presto 15 min later and £12 pounds it was done, and not just a rush job,, gears were reset and adjusted properly,, Honestly it hasn't shifted like that since I bought it!!
Great service, and I would gladly spend my money in there, honest shop with great mechanic,,, can't speak highly enough!
